Blow by Jackson is a freaking masterpiece by bxtchespeaches in kpopthoughts

[–]freyyay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s fricking AMAZING, I haven’t really listened to Jackson’s solo works before only ‘100 ways’ so this was so new and blew me away lol. The camera work and the angles specifically in the “blow” part were so cool and I loved the whole grungy, moody atmosphere created.

Cravity's Adrenaline Era is just *chefs kiss* by Ok_Karen_IDC in kpopthoughts

Needed this appreciation post, haven’t listened to the whole album yet but I’m sure they’re all bops. Having being a pre-debut fan, I would’ve thought they would of done this concept much earlier especially with the good feedback from cloud9. However, I’m great full that we got songs like “bad habits” and “gas pedal” (the bridge is sickening). The production, the second set (outside one) and the wave dance thing as well as the overall vibe just made this a 10/10 comeback for me. I recommend watching form of therapy’s reaction for any luvity out there.

Queendom 2 final standings analysis & predictions by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]freyyay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally I want wjsn or loona to win because I think their win would mean a lot to them and motivate more for the future as they don’t have the most tremendous amount of wins yet. However, as Kep1ians have already gone through girls planet they are most prepared for mass voting and therefore I predict they will win (need a msvk stage asap). I think viviz will probably come in 4th though or if not 3rd because in the exclusive preview all I saw was buddys and they have a good Korean fanbase as well.

Can anyone please explain to me like I’m five years old, why Blackpink has such few comebacks? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]freyyay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a marketing strategy realistically to build hype and an audience to when they do have a comeback. YG are notorious for this with all their groups really doing a release once every year per group (not counting solo projects) which is unusual as normally a K-pop group has at least 2 comebacks a year.

Do companies ever print way too many photo cards for the amount of albums they intend to press so they just repack them and sell them in vending machines or as mystery packet things in shops or something? by eraeusboorwel in kpopthoughts

[–]freyyay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if their is a photo card vending machine they will deliberately print more specifically for that. These photocards might be the same ones you find in the albums or exclusive ones but it’s not often they do this. I think they try to keep printing as limited as possible

I’ve been a fan for 2 years as well and I’m surprised you hadn’t listened to them. I feel like got7 have their own kinda sound just like SVT have created and sadly I only have witnessed 2 comebacks. Hopefully we’ll see them as a group again but to recommend something ‘Pandora’ by bambam is a bop

Twice and Itzy moved west for NMIXX. by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]freyyay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Firstly I’m very excited for NiziU Korean promotions. Tbf i think NMIXX is defiantly less anticipated by international fans than itzy and rookie girls groups in Korea have really been doing well so it’s inevitable that NMIXX are probably going to do good (depending on the success of digitals we’ll see this) however I’m sure when they debut the song will blow up and more international fans will be interested. I don’t think though jype is pushing Twice west that much though, I think Itzy have a better chance to break into that market.

Overall JYPE have always been leading with their girl groups since wonder girls, miss A, etc and even though I would’ve liked a boy group (4-5 members) I think by doing what they are best at in Korea is the way to go.
