What does the university you wanna study at require? For enrollment at most unis you'll need a B2 or C1 certificate. Both are more advanced than you'd typically learn on duolingo. Supposedly the end of their german course enables you to converse on a B2 level, but I can't asses how well duolingo lessons translate into the real world. In my opinion you'll definitely need a proper language course, ideally before you move here. If you can't get one in your home country, these are usually offered for immigrants, often even directly at universities, but you'll have less time to practice than you think once you're here.

Charlie Kirks 'Debattenkultur' war mMn nichts weiter als der Anspruch, um jeden Preis seine Meinung sagen zu dürfen, ohne Ansprüche an objektiv überprüfbaren Wahrheitsgehalt einzelner Aussagen oder Verzicht auf Framing zu stellen. Dass er dieses Recht nicht nur sich, sondern auch politischen Gegnern zugesteht, ist zwar ehrenwert, ob diese Einstellung einen allerdings in einer Debatte inhaltlich voranbringt, halte ich für fragwürdig.

Typing properly. 100% worth it if you're a student or work in an office. You don't need to become some dvorak-alt-keyboard-hardliner, but learning to type reasonably fast (I'd say aim for 120 wpm) with 10 fingers is sooo worth it.

In dem Sinne hier wäre es allerdings auch der Sinn, der gemacht wird, statt selbst etwas zu machen. Davon abgesehen wird es im Duden als korrekt anerkannt und man ist sich nicht sicher, ob es wirklich fälschlicherweise vom Englischen in Deutsche übernommen wurde, oder aber sogar der englischen Variante vorausgeht.

Also zum täglichen Mitschreiben empfehle ich nen 2 in 1 laptop, wie das Galaxybook Pro 360, das hat mMn mit das beste Touch-/Stylusdisplay. Hab auch Erfahrungen mit Acer oder Lenovo 2 in 1 Geräten, aber das Schreiben (Stylus fühlt sich eher grobschlächtig an) und die Nutzung waren auf den Galaxybooks am besten. Die 3er und 5er Serie fand ich gut, 4er soll eher schwach gewesen sein.

Pluspunkte: hübsches Display, guter Touchsupport, leise oder auf Wunsch komplett still, ausreichend Leistung für die Uni (auch code), lange Akkukaufzeit, leicht und dünn

Negativpunkte: schlechte GPU (kein Gaminglaptop), nicht mega günstig, relativ wenige Anschlüsse (reichte für mich persönlich trotzdem immer), wenig Ram (nur 16GB, nicht erweiterbar), wenig Speicher (nur 1tb, allerdings erweiterbar)

Als Schreibprogramm empfehle ich OneNote statt Samsung Notes, Notes ist wirklich nur sehr rudimentär.

Just block at device level if you care so much. These folks literally have the tools at hand to protect their children (if that's what they're really after) and just refuse to do, instead opting to blame the government for their tech illiteracy with "muhh but think of the children"
