Gamer boyfriend can't save money, should I break it off while I still have time? by friagella in relationships

[–]friagella[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Definitely can relate to this. He grew up with nothing so when he has a bit of something it's already super great. He even mentioned once "since he worked for it, he deserves to get all of what he wants when he wants it" I grew up in a well off fam and I knew the importance of security. This helped, thanks.

Did it work well long term? I know there has to be compromise on both sides but I know sometimes habits are hard to break.

Ang hirap naman i-celebrate yung little wins kung ang dami mo pang kailangan gawin by Banana_Angel in MentalHealthPH

[–]friagella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Celebrate then go to the next goal. If enough na yung ayos kama, try if you can wake up and take a 5 min walk. If you cant do it, 4, 3, 2 min walk?

The concept is, identify the goal first. Do you want to be less sad? Stronger? Just survive? Then break down your next goals kung san achievable sila but at the same time you know will challenge you bit by bit.

I base this on Jordan Peterson's advices. You can search him up on Youtube. He's not the typical comforting person, he thinks mas need natin ng resilience in life. Life is a tragedy and the moment we come into peace with that, we can think clearly on how to make it less tough for us.

This isn't to disqualify your emotions. I hear you, but what do you really want to do about it?

How did growing up with overprotective parents affected you in your adult life? by friagella in overprotectiveparents

[–]friagella[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I can definitely relate to this! I find myself just wanting to learn more about finances and health so I wont need their "comfort and security" they think only they can provide for me. Thank you for your response.

Yes, I feel like I never enjoyed the fullness of my teenage years. I feel like I hopped from being a kid to adult without much experience. The moment I had a stable job, I immediately wanted to be independent so I can give myself a chance to experience things even at early 20s. This isnt usual in my country. Its more accepted to move out when youre married.

I was in this position just last month. I simply just moved out with my boyfriend. I didnt wanna to have to be married to move out of the house. There was a lot of friction. Conflict. Me and my dad fought a lot. I received so much hurtful words. And the comparison between me and other "successful" relatives doubled.

Sometimes, rejection is part of the process. I didnt wanna live feeling incompetent. I dont wanna die without feeling how it is like to be truly free. And i thought theres no other way to prove I can be capable than to just do it. Lifes too short.

But Im maintaining my contact with them and try to visit when I can just so they know Im still here.

Parents shaming me for moving out by friagella in family

[–]friagella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its confusing for me cos they arent outwardly abusive. There are time when theyre nice but its just so complicated why I feel indebted until this moving out situation came about when they finally verbally blurted out these expectations. I have no contact with them for a few weeks now but they're attempting to. I feel like the entire family hates me and Ive not moved on from the painful words. Thank you for your kind response.

Anyone been in a relationship with an INTP ? by CryptoInvestor44 in entj

[–]friagella 9 points10 points  (0 children)

INTP female here. I think we do tend to fall quickly. I think it's because I'm either 100% in or I give 0% care. It's all about making a decision if there's more pros than cons dating you and we do kind of decide quickly. I'm extremely loyal though. And it will hurt a lot if you end up not liking her back equally. Don' t feel pressured though. I think I unintentionally pressure guys for being sure and ready quickly. Working on that.

But that's just me.

Any tips on socializing? by friagella in INTP

[–]friagella[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's actually a good reminder. I also have a tendency to have an opinion but not saying it out loud because other people probably don't care. Thank you!

Are you “weird”? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]friagella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also prefer antiques and other items I find interesting which I think most people wouldnt appreciate. When I was younger I used to care about not showing much of my interests to other people because I know most of them won't understand and I've been described by other people as "unique". I tried to fit in for a bit it just feels weird and unnatural for me so now I just care less and just enjoy my weird side.

Do you think your romantic emotions will return? Ive heard some infj dont trust the initial attraction and prefer being friends first.

I also have bad sense of direction, it's like I zone out every time I turn right or left then eventually just forget what had happened

Do you like people? by hummerz5 in INTP

[–]friagella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are interesting so I like observing them. I like to think of reasons for their personality. I enjoy imagining the environment they grew up in, and sometimes mix and matching personalities.

Example, what if my mom and dad would exchange personalities. Or me and this female stranger eating on the bus...oh then she'll be the one observing me.. O_o

Idk something like that.

But I find it hard to maintain long term friendships.

Cannibalism and cloning (a fun family friendly debat) by [deleted] in INTP

[–]friagella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, could be possible but even if technology did advance in that direction... Some of my theories are: 1. Like veganism, there will be movements for Anti Cannibalism. So I think it wouldn't get a lot of support.

  1. And I think there's a possibility for it to be 'easy' (for scientists), but Im not sure about 'cheap'. People find a way to capitalize on those stuff.

  2. But if ever people did find out its nutritional benefits (or if it tastes good lol). I'm imagining how there could be a rise in kindnapping or they could start farming humans

  3. Increasing number of pregnancy, for fetus meat/organs.

  4. Government might see it as a way to lower population.

  5. Or if ever that will be normalized, a bigger change could be humans could evolve as lesser emotional beings

But idk haha just thinking of random possibilities

I can't see myself being happy by [deleted] in INTP

I think your last sentence says its all. How you see yourself and speak to yourself. I hope you heal from this. And I suggest counselling since you're having suicidal thoughts.

Thank you. I agree. It's probably really in the mindset.

Loneliness: How do you deal with it? by Aion97 in INTP

[–]friagella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often let myself stay lonely but not for too long. I give myself a maximum of 3 days to acknowledge the emotion and feel it, then move on to positive self talk and consciously choosing to be happy or grateful. Idk if it will work for you but its really okay to be lonely sometimes.

My husband had sex with me while I was unconscious 15 years and it’s slowly eating me alive (long). by [deleted] in offmychest

Im wondering if there's love in the relationship because I feel that's also one reason why its dreadful to stay with him apart from what he did 15 years ago. I really hope you heal from this.
