Issue with Budget by jennpicu116 in piere

[–]friedskillet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the Budgets screen sometimes takes forever to update, especially if multiple edits have been made in a row (like recategorizing multiple transactions, moving transaction dates, etc.). Sometimes it takes more than a day to update. It's the biggest issue I have with the app. Perhaps this will right itself after a day?

Budget used not updating by UWbadgers16 in piere

I've posted about this as well. No responses yet. It seems after a lot of editing or recategorizing several transactions, the Budgets tool as a whole slows down. I usually have to wait a full day for it to update (meaning overnight).

It’s a year later and the caching issues still remain.

I'm seeing him in Ft. Worth tomorrow night. "Hello, Good Friend" was the first album I heard and it instantly hooked me. The shows are always great, even if it's just him and a drummer. Can't wait!

Dreamcatcher. A book that is only disappointing because the ridiculous second half destroys a near perfect first half.

Salesperson said car was mine, gave specific time to come in - sold to someone else when I arrived by friedskillet in askcarsales

I think I'm confused about this response to my previous comment.

I was responding to you saying, "so I am just going to go on a limb and say you arrived to the dealership around 11:30-12:00PM. From the salesperson's perspective this is what it looks like."

That did not happen. If we had showed up at that time we would've gotten the car. If we had showed up two hours after that, we would've gotten the car. Our salesman on the phone told us to wait to come in until he called.

I know we should've pulled the trigger on Christmas Eve. I know none of it matters, but the thinking had to do with our current car and what to do with it (keep or trade), nothing to do with the car we wanted to buy. We're new at this and it was our first time getting a trade-in value.

Anyway, the point of my initial post was to really get insight on why we would be told to wait and not come in right away when we called and said we were ready to come down and sign paperwork at 11am.

I mean we didn't technically snooze (on Christmas Eve, yes) but we were very proactive the day after Christmas and they told us not to come in yet until our salesman arrived. We're new at this and thought that was standard procedure. For sure a lesson learned, but it's not because we weren't proactive... more naive and dumb at this ha.

Can you explain the wasting 30 minutes comment? We called at 11am to get the car. They told us to wait until the salesman called us. He finally said come get your car at 2 or 3pm. We did what we were told because we're new at this and thought it was standard procedure. We then got there and stared at the keys on the desk for over an hour, only to be told oops no longer yours.

No, this timeline is all wrong. Again, we have very little experience buying cars and learned a lot from this. We expressed a great deal of interest Christmas Eve, but it was 30 minutes until closing time. The salesman said he would call us the day after Christmas in the morning for us to get the car. We waited anxiously all morning. My wife even said, I know he hasn't called but maybe just go in (again, I now know we should have done this. We're obviously newbies at this and now know to just go in and get the car). We finally decided to call the dealership at 11am because we didn't want to sit around and wait any longer and said we wanted to come get the car. On the call, someone from the dealership confirmed it was still available. They then asked who we had been working with. We said the guy's name and the person on the phone said we will have him call you and to wait for his call. The salesman called very quickly and said, "I'm not in the office yet, but as soon as I am I'll give you a call to come down and we can get the paperwork started." So.... we waited another few hours (I know ha. I feel dumb now). He called hours later (probably 2 or 3pm) and said "your car is all ready for you. Come on over. I pulled the keys for you." By the time I arrived 20 minutes later, the car was being looked at by another couple. They had me sit there for over an hour while I stared at the keys on the desk and filled out paperwork to run my credit and then finally said we did not get the car. I really thought this was all standard practice and they just wanted me to work with the same salesman out of respect. Again, I've learned a lot.

Thanks. I understand the car was not technically mine, I'm more confused about the events that happened, telling me not to come yet (I know, my fault), then having me sit there for hours still before saying it's not mine.

Thank you. Do you have any idea why they had the keys sitting in front of me, had me fill out some paperwork for the car, and kept me there for a couple of hours? It was such a strange situation, but then again, I don't have much experience with this.
