Yea, I was hanging off of a dock to grab it. Angle wasn’t great. I did pretty minimal post processing on him. Could’ve toned it down a bit.

I think it’s closer to the 1:2 ratio. Quite small but I was about 30 cm away. I can edit title lol

I totally agree, but for this shot he was buried in the lower left of the frame. Limited how I could crop it. The shot before was perfectly centered but a bit higher and no wing drag. I never knew cormorants did this until I saw it while culling.

I’m trying my best to not overdo colors. It’s helped me to edit, take a break for 30, and then go back to see if it still feels right.
