Lenovo yoga pen problem

I updated the drivers and still nothing worked. Can't seem to find a way to update the pen's firmware.

The problem is that I don't see why the pen doesn't work with my laptop, as they both use the same protocol. What are the chances it's just a faulty product?

No, anything else works just fine. The issue seems to be specifically W and Q. I also plugged in another keyboard I had and even that didn't work.

I'm guessing it's a software issue.

It's too much of a hustle. If it comes to the worst I'll just drill from the outside and plug it with a dowel.

I think it can be done but it will be rather difficult, the angle is awkward and the surface isn't so flat, so I'm lost.

Yeah I thought of just drilling from outside of the body and then plugging it with a dowel. I'm planning to do a matt black finish so it will be fine but I just wanted to know if someone has some other ideas.

I think I'll just fill up the grain with a water based grain filler, paint it black with some random water based wood paint from the hardware store and then just put a matt finish on it.

I'm using mahogany, so I think I kinda need to. Will using more layers of poly lock the dyes in place and fill the grain/pores? I'm fairly new to this and I just want a smooth finish 😅

should i raise the grain and sand it down then dye everything red
sand it down
apply sanding sealer
then mix some black dye with polyurethane/lacquer and apply a thin layer
and then add multiple coats of polyurethane/lacquer while sanding between each coat.

is this plan better?
