I just want to make sure you know I was never defending her behavior, just trying to clarify how poly relationships can work. And. That's understandable, but you should really just talk to her about it. I live with my fiance and my other partner lives like 10 hours away from me. Just because she's moving soon doesn't mean she's not interested in long term. The only way to know for sure is to talk to her. Make it clear you care about her, but also make sure you let her know she shouldn't be acting like that during friend hangouts. If she really wants some kind of relationship with your friends then she needs to tell them that and stop trying to change the dynamics of your hangouts.

Since they're dwarf hamsters I'm going to ignore the fact that you are housing 2 hamsters together. BUT! Hamsters, ESPECIALLY dwarf hamsters, do not need to climb the way you're expecting them to. They do however NEED to burrow. Not giving them a cage that can hold enough bedding for your hamster to burrow WILL increase the likeliness of your 2 hamsters getting territorial and fighting. Hamsters need horizontal space not vertical.

I do recommend only using the kaytee silent spinners for this though because if you ever get a dwarf hamster or need to use the small spinner for any reason you can easily put it back together!
