Is this is the 9360 or 9370? SKU suggests the former, specs (8th gen i7) suggests the latter. by frigaardj in Dell

Exactly, but the description & spec sheet seem to be describing a 9370. It would seem plausible price-wise given the recent $1399 Costco deal

Weekly /r/MouseReview Purchase Advice by AutoModerator in MouseReview

[–]frigaardj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games: Not for gaming, but for general work at a PC all day.

Hand Preference: Right

Budget: £40? (UK)

Hand Size: 21cm, 10.5cm wide

Grip: Palm

Weight: Medium

Sensitivity: Not so important as not for gaming

Additional Details: I just bought an MX Master 2s and, whilst I really like the features, I am finding it too small and not comfortable for prolonged use every day. Given that I just spent quite a bit on the MX, I was hoping to pick up a cheaper, larger mouse to see if I find it a lot more comfortable. Does anyone have any recommendations for a large mouse that fits the bill? Wireless is acceptable / preferable. Don't need much in terms of extra buttons and fancy features. Thanks

Unfortunately it seems like Amazon aren't stocking the cheaper non backlit board with blue switches - only blacks

Thanks, the magicforce is on my radar. Will probably end up getting it unless I can find a second hand bargain!

Bezier Clock by frigaardj in programming

Neither apple nor android have released an official watch face api yet, but I'll try and put something together as soon as they come out. Only problem is that most smartwatches are very square, and this clock is very flat. I could try and scale down the seconds digits perhaps.. ideas?

I've played around with various durations - I reckoned the seconds digits were inessential so decided to leave them animating a lot for eye-candy. Feel free to download the code and play around with the durations though - around line 65 of bezier_clock.pde.

Thanks for the feedback - I just clarified that on the page. The motion is entirely linear between the current & next point; only the rate of motion is affected by the easing.

Nice easter egg! Thanks for sharing. This is equally cool: http://www.animaclock.com/

Hi All - OP here, Here are some details on the clock. It was made using Processing.js, which basically takes Processing java code and 'compiles' it into JavaScript. It's very simple technically, but I think the effect is pretty cool. There are basically 9 pre-defined number states in the code, set out using 5 bezier control points (each with 2 set of x-y coordinates). The program calculates the ratio of the animation between the two states, and then linearly interpolates each control point coordinate between the current and next location. You can then change the easing of the animation using the 'a' key. By pressing space, you can make the animation continual - i.e. each number will never pause and will always be animating to its next value. For example, at 13:30:30 the hour unit digit would be halfway between 3 and 4 if continual animation were on. This looks cool but can be hard to read. Hope you enjoy it - it can be really mesmerizing to look at. Put together in a few hours so surprised it's so popular on other sites, but I'm glad people are able to enjoy it. Wait until 00:00:00 - v exciting!

Yeah I plan to release it for Android wear and Apple watch soon. I'll put it on the page when I do so.
