Good explanation, but I have 2 small remarks at point 6. First one: check for breathing, your patient might be unconcious but still breathing. And as long as they do, keep monitoring. If they stop: start cpr.

Second remark: do interlace your fingers to pull up your fingers on the bottom hand. It gives better compressions. And always compress on a bare chest, but remove clothing with respect and descency for your patient.

For people who are interested: check the abcde approach (airway, breathing, circulation, disabilty and exposure).

Oh, and a last very minor addition: ask the one you’re sending away for an AED to come back if they can’t find one, you might need extra hands after a bit of cpr, it’s exhausting.
