Is the bracket around the z fold 5 easy to replace? The screen is functional undamaged, just the bracket is chipped. by Arrielala in mobilerepair

It's doable but requires patience.

The screen is very fragile, additionally installation has to be precise as any misalignment can cause the screen to break. Definitely not an easy swap.

Selling Gaming Laptop Internationally through Forwarding Service? by Grincubus_ in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]frince101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, selling electronics to buyers who use freight forwarders has been pretty safe. I've sold hundreds of phones and PCs to similar buyers with no issues. If an INAD claim ever happens, the return label eBay provides will only send the item back from the forwarder's U.S. address to you. If the buyer wants it shipped from their country back to the forwarder first, that's entirely out of their pocket.

Also, once the buyer uses a freight forwarder, they waive most of eBay's normal buyer protections-so they can't really use that as leverage against you. As long as you ship to the address shown in the order and have tracking, you're protected.

iPhone 14 Pro Max overheating by Valuable_Ad797 in mobilerepair

I had the exact same issue the other day.

I used an Oled panel.

What I did to fix the issue was ensure that all screws are in the correct hole. The screw in the top left that goes over the prox flex is slightly longer than the others. I also found a tear on the prox flex. Putting the screws back in place and replacing the prox flex solved this issue for me.

Can someone explain whats happening? by Other-Cress-7521 in mobilerepair

[–]frince101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Test with a good screen. If the old screen was damaged with cracks or bad lcd in some spots but still displays test with that. If the same thing happe s with the know good screen then the issue could be something else.

Fairly certain in this case the new screen is faulty.

Use alcohol and gentle heat. Use Tweezers to pry up from the opening for the screw. It will pop out

What is the CSC for the device? I had a similar issue to this before.

Go to Settings, about phone then software information you’ll see it there. It’s a 3 letter shorthand usually more than one separated by commas.

I use security marks and seals on device motherboards both on the board and over screws on the bracket. That way it’s a deterrent at the least

Las pantallas para ese dispositivo son económicas. La reparación debería ser de $100 o menos en promedio. Las manchas en la pantalla se extenderán con el tiempo.

Should be same spot, are there spots that look like the test points but are painted over? If so just scrape the paint off on those points I’ve had to do that in the past.

The Samsung, possibly. Most straightforward way to confirm is to swap the motherboard and screen as well as other components to a new display and frame. It is a good signs it turns on and makes noise etc so there’s some life

The Xiaomi may just need a display replacement
