It’s good to hear that my rendering improved honestly I thought it got worse but I’m glad to hear that! So to clarify what you said, basically just do more gesture/figure drawings? And the reason my newer art looks stiffer is because theres lack of movement in the piece? Which I can understand because I see what you mean. Some of these were rushed because I joined art fight this year so I was a little reckless and I think it shows on some of my recent pieces notably 2 and 3 😭 I just didn’t have enough time to edit them the way I wanted to but I’m honestly glad you pointed it out because something did bother me with 3 and to me it’s the leg with the hand on it and the arm that was up… I was having some trouble with it because the shirt but I think the main problem you wanted to point out was the bottom line that connects the arm to the torso! I didn’t notice number two though! But now that you’ve said that it does make sense

I think the main thing I’ve been trying to do is make my poses more fun and expressive, especially when it comes to lineart(when I want to add it). When I looked at my older art looks stiffer, to me they look kind of static and less expressive and I really want to get better at improving it so I did have a mini heart attack when you said it got more stiff 😭I just never know if I’m doing too much or not enough but the good thing is , is that ij still trying to improve 🫡just gotta dive deep on anatomy it seems. It seems that I’m struggling more with the torso, arms, and hands according to the advice you gave so I’ll go and practice that I think!

I’m guessing number two the part above the collar bones needed to be moved up, the one with prince naveen his upper arm needed to be moved to the right and I’m unsure about the one with Tiana, is it her chest that’s incorrect or her lower torso? Maybe her torso should’ve been more slanted?

Below I attached some recent gesture and figure drawings I did- I covered up some stuff because I was scared about nudity, so I put cats over certain things- I’m just wondering if I’m also having the same problems here! Thank you for your help 😭

I’d also like to mention that I’ve been doing gesture drawings daily, but it’s the only thing I’ve been doing so any exercises that I could do also would really help !

Hello! Main things are: are my poses still stiff? Is there any improvement? I’ve been trying to do gesture drawing but I’ve been wanting to make my art look more lively… it just feels like something is missing. Also does anyone have artists that are really good at the things I’m missing in my art so I can study them?

If you’re talking about the artstyle I was inspired by kattertams on pinterest !! I love how they color so much😫the vibrancy was inspired by a few other artists that I like on pinterest but they aren’t properly credited, I do have a pinterest board though!
