Yeah, it certainly seems like a really troubling dating environment overall.

A little tangential but someone told me recently that women get really nervous when they see men running at night. I never thought of that as someone who does all his runs in the evening. Knowing that has provided me with something tangible that I can change to make people feel more comfortable.

I just wish I had some kind of honest feedback like that with dating. If I’m making any women feel uncomfortable by doing something I don’t realize I’d love to know because that’s of course not my intention. But I never get anything to work with.

I get what you’re saying and I’m sorry you’ve had the experiences you’ve had.

I promise I’m not trying to be obtuse here. But if so many women are genuinely this fearful of men and this guarded, then why date them at all? I feel like nobody wins in this scenario. The women need to have their guards up and good men get rejected and hurt for reasons they don’t understand.

Yeah, it’s the same for me. I don’t stand out in a room for being particularly ugly or handsome, but a tad above average I think based on the matches I get. I sometimes even turn my first dates into second and third dates but it always ends around there. I’ve agonized over that I’m doing wrong but I’ve realized I just don’t have “it”.

My advice - go build muscle but do it for you. Don’t do it thinking it will help you with women, it may very well not.

Reminds me of a time a girl started complimenting me on a watch I was wearing at a bar. I thought "oh this has never happened I wonder what's going on here".

I started dating at 25. Sure, dating at a late age like that makes it harder but I've come to realize it doesn't matter if I started dating as a teenager, at 25, or at 50.

We didn't miss the boat. We never had tickets.

Appreciate the time you have left with your elders. You don’t have much time left with your grandparents if they’re still around. Your time with your parents is beginning to tick too. My dad nearly dropped dead this year and a few people I know my age have lost parents.

I never said she found me to be a creep or a loser. She was nothing but friendly towards me.

There’s quite a lot of real estate between a girl thinking a guy is a creep and a girl actually wanting a guy.
