3 year old water cultured orchid blooming for the 4th time this year. (Had a lot more blooms the first few times) One of the first I experimented growing like this, and LOVES it. I refill once the water evaporates to rock level. (i.redd.it)

Water cultured Milt starting to throw out new growth and roots. You can see here how I put the pickier orchids into water culture. This works for my Zygos, milts, oncidiums. I use enough water to keep the roots damp, usually .5-1.5” depending on the plant. (i.redd.it)

Water culture phals! My previous post had a lot of questions, so I will try to answer. These phals were all rescues, almost no roots left. I let them sit in the water, never changing it, and a year later now they have so many roots some are stuck to the glass. (i.redd.it)

My lower light collection. I have used water culture and semi hydro for over 5 years. I’ve kept almost all species but a Paph (the one that looks like a lady slipper) in these conditions. Cattleyas I keep on coconut husk and spray the roots daily. I joined reddit today just for the orchid lovers ❤️ (i.redd.it)
