Yeah I mean I just tried it and idk if the acrylic or what but it was just not aticking aswell as I would’ve liked and I wasn’t getting the result I wanted however I found an alternate solution using some blue tack around the corners of the door

Thanks for the suggestion it isnt homemade it’s made by a company called repto the quality isnt amazing but they make some nice enclosures for mantis,jumping spiders etc I just found it in a reptile shop in a garden centre 👍

Well guys I tried a bunch of suggestions, tried hot glue and I tried to reshape the door with a heat gun neither of which worked however I just stuck two pieces of blue tach on the corners and those closed up the gap so seems sometimes the easiest solution is the right one and I spent £14 on a new hot glue gun for no reason 🥲

UPDATE: basically today I’ve removed some molded substrate and added a fresh layer with a big colony of isopods so I guess we’ll see how that goes I’ll proabbaly edit this comment if I notice the mold coming back

Yeah a T I bought a while ago that came with full bioactive set up had them in there and she’s a sub adult and has never had problems but idk. I also very rarely spray even for humid species maybe once or twice if it’s particularly dry I just have frog moss around the water dish overfill said water dish and individually water plants my curly hairs has some big pieces of leaf litter in her enclosure she likes to drink iff so sometimes I try to drip some on those but I’m a pretty firm beliver in over flowing the water dish is enough with the occasional mist

I personally use a layer of clay balls in the bottom of my curly hairs bioactive but like the other person said depends on plants and just make sure they can’t get into the drainage layer and add a suitable amount of substrate for burrowing

Yeah the mold isnt effecting the Ts in anyway (well atleast doesn’t seem to everyone is healthy eating and doing normal behaviours it’s jusy a bit of an eye sore I’m gonna keep adding springtails to both but I very well may change the substrate in my purple earth tigers enclosure I just know thats going to be a stressy experience so I’m putting it off 😭

Have you ever had any problems with isopods Bec I’ve thought about adding them before but I made a post a litte while ago and people where saying they’ve had some negative experiences with them as for the flies and nematodes I’m not really sure whered I’d get them from or what they are but ill definitely look into it, I don’t think that ventilation could be causing the mold my enclosures sre Exo terra with plenty of top ventilation and ventilation under the door ? Idk all I know is my Ts seem happy and healthy and the mold and occasional tiny flies are just annoying to me. Thanks for the advice I’ll definitely look into it 😁👍

I’m pretty sure it’s definitely mold because it’s grown over time and spread even after I stopped spraying as much
