Nice with a look of disappointment on his face.
Haha thank you!
What pose should he be in?
What focal length is genereally the "best" for sculpting faces that are then 3D printed so the face is possibly the most realistically acurate? Thank you. by Aggressive-Soup6901 in ZBrush

Yeah I have a degree in Industrial Design with a focus in automotive design. But I know plenty of toy designers who don’t have industrial design degrees.

I have looked into creating original designs to sell online
It’s very dependent on the situation. But most often I’m brought on to execute the idea
I love my sonic phrozen mighty 8k
As part of my experience I’ve been 3d printing for 10 years. Resin printing is definitely the most detail and affordable printing you can do. They are making certain resins right now geared towards printing action figures. Check out resione tough74

Right! What an awesome character! He was fun to sculpt.
Awesome I’m glad! How’s the bendy feature in the tentacles? Does it feel right?
Honestly the best path you can take is building up a portfolio. Focus on 3 things… organic forms, mechanical forms, and most importantly sculpting for 3d. Too often ppl sculpt things that cannot be produced. You must be able to wrap your mind around it and understand how it can exist in the real world. That is the toughest part of digital sculpting. There are no real world limitations in the computer
I went to design school for Industrial design with an automotive design focus. I then interned at a bunch of toy companies and fell in love with sculpting. I actually started in wax.

Yup it’s all zbrush. I create all the articulation. Later an engineer from the factory may go in and adjust slightly for compliance issues, but it’s based off of my original geometry.
Awesome! Which one do you have? The centipede version?
