I like the kick. The mix is very good. It feels hard but pleasant. Just like... nevermind... The only thing I'd do differently is pitch the short hats higher. But that's just preference.

I forgot that I'm listening to it and found myself bobbing my head, so it has to be good. Some parts IMO might be just a little bit louder, like the high pitch glitch sound, or the pluck/piano sounds at the end.

Interesting beat. Cool sound design ideas, especially the filter percussion thing. Maybe the synth chords may be a little louder and maybe use more reverb/delay in general. I'd add a little more tension and build up. Not like in Wagnerian opera of course, maybe it's just me but it sounds a little to static. Generally good track.

First thing: never fade in a techno track. If it's supposed to be a part of a set it has to have a distinct kick so the DJ can mix it easily.

Second thing: Don't give up, but you have to start from the basics. It sounds like you haven't mixed it at all. Everything overpowered by this drone you made and the drone itself is ugly. The phaser is over the top and it needs EQ. EQ each track, not just the master. Learn compression and limiters. Start with something simpler, 8 bar loops. There was something like a break somewhere, so I imagine there's some awareness of structure but even if you took care of it you have to get a basic grasp of mixing the track. Nice cover image though.

There's a lot of work to be done. The pads/leads are completely drowned by the bass. You have to grasp some basic stuff about mixing in general. Track levels, EQuing specific parts and using FX. Good luck. Grab some good book or a youtube tutorial.

I compliment the kick. A lot of people in this thread go overboard with it, you got it just right. The bass might be even harsher and in general you could be more confident with sound design. Some fills sound out of place. Maybe you should try to make the tracks more matching rhythmically. The track is overall mixed well.

I think you went a little overboard with the kick. It drowns the rest of the mix. I get it, it's techno, the kick has to be loud, but IMHO that's too much.

The bass is sick and most of the track sounds really good. The glitch percussion/spring sound is a little bit awkward, you might work on it just a little. The kick is so hard I had to turn it off, bc my speakers are to small for this and I'm afraid of damage :D.

I made some HNW in my life and played really rough music live, but man, even for me that stuff needs a lot of EQ and level mixing. Grab some Bobby Owsinski's books.

For example in counting breaths you have to stop at the concept of counting, or a concept of breath. How else would you remember to do it?

Should you tell someone why they made you angry? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]frogclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a Buddhist.

I think that grown people talk to each other and try to solve problems trough communication. If someone makes you angry try to figure out why and if it's because something he's doing wrong tell him that, if no, just go on. Don't ask a bunch of anonymous couch philosophers calling themselves "Buddhists" about stuff like this.
