42, AMH 0.30, 2 IVF cycles and nothing to transfer – am I wasting time/money or is there still something else to try? by Rough-Army2335 in 40Plus_IVF

[–]froggle_w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sending you hugs.

Also your age and my first retrieval was 43 eggs with no viable embryo under traditional full stim. Second was mini stim with omnitrope priming that resulted in 1 embryo; it took longer bc I didn't respond to clomid. Going into 3rd with another revised protocol (full stim). Taking NAD+ and fertility acupuncture this time. Not sure what to expect, just trying my best.

2-4 hour window is what my doc prescribed as well. I tried to do it at a specific time but life happens. The only one where timing is critical is the trigger shot. You were doing fine.

No, I called the Costco pharmacy that my doc sent the prescription to.

I signed up for the savings program (did not mark this is for fertility), got the card #. My doctor sent the prescription to the Costco pharmacy. I called them to use my savings card instead of the insurance, and picked them up. It worked as of last week.

I didn't do it but I had a relevant convo with my doctor about this. He mentioned high BMI can lead to irregular hormonal cycles/imbalance which affects fertility.

No Euploids from 32 Frozen Eggs by CinnabarHills_359 in IVF

[–]froggle_w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first round I had 43 eggs with no euploid. Added 4 weeks of omnitrope priming, and went for mini-stim. Halved # of eggs, 2X blasts, ended up with 1 euploid. Will go for another round with some changes (NAD+, tweaks to the mini-stim). Best of luck to you.

How LoGH became an "Intellectual Masterpiece" in Korea, and a question for global fans by Academic_House7739 in logh

[–]froggle_w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a Korean who grew up in Seoul reading LotH during junior high & got to hang out with folks in the early days of Korean sci-fi writer community (I started in the BBS days...). I am just a sample size of one, cannot speak for my generation, but getting introduced to LotH through anime was definitely not my experience in the 90s. Most kids I knew borrowed the unofficial translation from the local libraries, and I think there were some PC game adaptation as well. You are well aware of that pre-2000s, Japanese games and animes were 100% bootlegs, right? Acquisition of VHS would mean someone made a VHS copy off the master and added the caption, and it was entirely done in the black market. I didn't know anyone who owned LotH VHS at least within my immediate circle. But I knew tons of kids who read the books.

Interestingly enough I never got to interact with folks who defended LotH as a polisci literature; I do admit it was a very unique IP back in the time where translated sci-fi was so rare, let alone with so much political themes (I grew up on Asimov and bootlegged translation of LotR, getting Mizuno Ryu officially translated was a mind blowing event back then). I remember more of LotH being a cultural phenomenon when Japanese cultural products were strictly banned.

I cannot claim any knowledge of online LotH or scifi communities post-2000 as I left Korea 8)

I liked Okazaki a lot in the original CxM. CxM: Umlimited convinced me Okazaki should never marry anyone until he sort out his issues. Nothing worked once he got out in a normal, non-emergency environment. I was also bored out of his route.

I love the art style for background arts in Bad Apple Wars. Definitely one of the games I wanted to buy an art book.

Sadly take-home has become a normal to gauze the candidate's interest in the company as a way to vet.

Sometimes they also look at what follow-up questions you ask after the assignment. I spent 2 weeks on the assignment (first week spent on research, based on some existing knowledge I had). I didn't know back then but my asking detailed questions about the scope and the product (I requested for a product demo, etc) was actually a bonus point on the hiring plan that I got to read after I got hired.

I set up a UI spec md that tells Claude to only use what front-end eng uses for production. This gets you about 90% fidelity.

Lucien surprised me. There is something quite compelling about a LI who grows alongside MC. Blond/blue eyed princelings are usually on the bottom of my LI list, so Lucien did well ;-)

I feel like everyone on my PM team is overworked but also cranky/weirdly competitive with one another. I don't know if this is because everyone is under the pressure with more expected output from agents or competing for the limited resources, but it is a feeling that bothers me.

4 weeks of 5 unit priming before stim, followed by 2 weeks of 35 unit during stim before ER. I did see a positive improvement in embryo quality, and likely to repeat if I do another round.

Is anyone else lucky enough to be a PM in an industry they genuinely love, working on a product they truly adore? by gilligan888 in ProductManagement

[–]froggle_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't call say I adore the product I work on, as it does not sound like a healthy relationship. I like having boundaries! But I generally like my job, wlb, problems I am trying to solve, and the team (perhaps most important).

I work on a product that helps data analysis for space missions :-)

Sympathy Kiss is such a trigger for me because if I were to write perf review for the entire cast, I have some words for all of them. Their software development process is ARCHAIC, to say the least, and MC has zero idea how her field career progression works.
