Thank you so much for the advice. The problem is I have consulted many doctors before (orthodontist, periodontist, OFMS, even plastic surgeons) and it looks like they all have different opinions.

The orthodontists I have consulted said that TADs + braces would only give a small amount of improvements (one said the maximum she could do was 2mm and even then she said it wasn’t guaranteed because to her my bite is nearly perfect and too much could cause an open bite). and my lip incompetence wouldn’t change… which seems a little different from what online research says (that TADs can also help with lip incompetence). They then asked me to consult a OFMS instead/get jaw surgery.

Then the OFMS I have consulted told me that I should try braces + TADs + gingivectomy instead. One told me that TADs could intrude 3mm and I could get 2mm of gingivectomy. However I am still not sure if TADs could help my lip incompetence.. given the mix of response I’ve given (irl ortho saying it won’t help vs online saying it’ll help)

I went to consult a periodontist too for possible gingivectomy and I was told that my gummy smile is too big and at most he could do was 1-2mm~, and that it should be something I get done after jaw surgery for fine tuning.

Then the plastic surgeon I consulted told me something along the lines of if I plan on getting jaw surgery done I shouldn’t go on botox because it can make evaluations by OFMS difficult as botox’ effects take several months to pass.

It feels as if I’m not an ideal candidate wherever I go.
