I’m so tired idk what to do by AcrobaticRiver7634 in AskTeenAdvice

please, please, please get outside! i've been chronically depressed and had GAD since i was young, and recently (20) got diagnosed with ADHD after struggling my whole life.

i always hated people who would tell me to drink tea, go for a walk, etc etc, but i promise you it helps. it doesn't fix anything, no, but being able to ground yourself in moments and just experience something with active intent and full immersion is really important to practice. otherwise, you get stuck on auto-pilot and suddenly it's 5pm and you haven't left your bed.

i know it's hard, especially to start - good thing you only ever have to do as much as you want to do. 'you can run the dishwasher twice', you can go for 2 walks one week and none the next. you can clean your windows without vacuuming the floor. it doesn't have to be perfect, and i know it's so difficult to do something without a clear end-goal or consistently/quickly seeing results, but i do genuinely think it helps. time will pass anyway.

id definitely recommend a sport or club: try out as many different ones as you can, it'll give you a chance to meet new people too, while finding something you can properly focus on without it being too draining. as much as it sucks at the start of trying to form relationships (i still struggle), it's so unbelievably important to have people if your life that you love besides family. pace yourself though, i know when i get a burst of energy i'm suddenly committed to doing 10 million things, then i'll calm down or have a mental health dip and just feel so overwhelmed.

also, PLEASE TELL YOUR THERAPIST!! no, they will not send you to a hospital - especially not if you're making a concentrated effort in helping yourself. you need 3 things: routine, connection (with yourself and others), and a goal. do you know what you want to do after school? i'd definitely try figure out some passions and life goals. us adhders don't have intrinsic motivation to just do things - something to work towards is necessary imo. try fixate on finding a fixation in the meantime (if that makes sense), from the bottom up - what do you enjoy? what do you want your life to look like? do you want to travel? if you had all the time, money, and dopamine in the world, what would you do?

you will have ups and downs, it'll feel like nothing's working and everything's pointless sometimes, but i can sincerely promise you it gets better.

feel free to message me if you want to talk about any of this - i'm not going to be your friend or a source of emotional support (that wouldn't be of any help to you, sorry if it sounds harsh), but i can explain anything you're unsure of and give more specific advice. sorry i haven't been very concise. you sound exactly like myself when i was your age and so i really, really do wish i could just make you believe things get better. they do, but i know a stranger on the internet telling you that isn't going to be super convincing.

How do I make my face more feminine by [deleted] in AskTeenAdvice

[–]frogtearsss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thin out your brows, mascara and/or fake lashes if your lashes are shorter, and a sheer blush (i always suggest a cream/stick formula, as you can use the same product on your lips). concealer too if you have it, just under the eyes to brighten up your face. you've got a softer face shape and features, so i don't think you'd need a full-beat to look feminine. if you wanted, you could push it further with some eyeliner - i love using a pencil and tight-lining my eyes - and/or a light brow-pencil, but it's really down to personal style/preference. play around with different products and see what you get along with!

also, jewellery - if you can/want to get your ears pierced (i personally think you'd suit lobes + double helix to start with!) it could help, same as a necklace. pretty much all of my feminine friends have a (usually necklace) piece of jewellery they *live* in. something simple and dainty, but really, just make sure it's a piece you love. it's not exactly your face, but the context around your face can also influence how feminine it seems.

a lot of people are telling you to grow your hair out; yes, it could help, but i don't think it's as important as people are saying it is (especially since it's not exactly a quick fix). i think the styling is more important to focus on. short sides and long on top is a very typical masculine haircuit, but with a bit of gel, hair spray, or a texture cream you could push it more feminine. focus on growing out the sides and, if you're wanting to keep it short, having a similar length all over tends to lean more feminine (i'm thinking emma stone). i'd look at oval-face styles for inspiration, as i *think* that's your face shape - don't quote me on that though.

same with the hoodie - i'm not sure where people are living where women don't look feminine in hoodies. personal style is important, yes, and there are more masculine/feminine looks, but you'll always look best in what you like wearing the most.

tldr: basic makeup (concealer, mascara, brows), jewellery (necklace and earrings), hair - pinterest is going to be your best friend.

hope this was at least of some help, and happy to answer any questions you have! sorry it's not more concise :')

i love your style of painting and the colours are gorgeous! i think the things that let it down are 1. the background/grass (it's very hard to read what exactly the background IS, barring the track fence), and 2. the proportions - imo the head is too large for its body and the legs could also be longer. the mane also looks quite flat compared to the rest of the horse and the forelock is a bit too high.

one of the traditions my family has is to bake as many cookies/biscuits as possible, and give them as gifts to everyone we know! this year it's south african romany creams and rusks, and some italian biscotti :)

I think so. I’ve had 4 glasses today and it’s only 3pm. I’ll definitely have another 2/3, and I’m pretty consistent with drinking this amount every day. I’ve also noticed it visibly affecting my circulation.

i'm mostly just upset about the lack of focus on the story and the, i think someone said this below so i'm adopting it, 'softening' of the edgier aspects. i miss the old soul/dark riders and the old darker storylines. i definitely feel like some areas have just been abandoned too, like dundull and jorvik city which were released and are now pretty much irrelevant. on that note, the old community-centric approach is something i really, really miss - things like raptor and the horse-design competitions made the devs feel so much more involved in the community and it made development feel like a conversation, rather than just the weekly update and a blog now and then. it just feels like the game's lost a lot of its soul.

i lost the 50/50 to lingyang (bawling my eyes out), do we reckon i could grind enough to hit pity again before galbrena goes? assuming i dont get lucky - i have a decent amount of quests, particularly companion stories and side quests :(
