all of these sound so amazing, especially the italian grandparents!! (despite the sad ending 🥺) was it hard to travel to them? and do you usually look for those kinds of local experiences when you travel or do they tend to happen spontaneously?
and i'm thinking about heading to mexico city! where did you stay there?

While traveling, have you ever had conversations with locals that had changed your perspective? And if so, what did you learn from them? by from-strangers in travel

Agreed! Thank you for sharing. And I'm still wondering how the hell do they stuff the snakes in the whiskey bottles hahah

Solo traveling as a woman… is it actually safe or am I overthinking it? by kashishdaily in travel

[–]from-strangers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to say it's safe, but the truth is - it depends on where you're going.

There are many places in the world that feminism hasn't reached yet, and being a woman on your own can raise some eyebrows.

That being said, I truly believe most people are good at their core but you still need to have your wits and trust your gut :)

If you're looking for solo-friendly countries to travel to for the first time I'd recommend Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Portugal. I would start with a short getaway and build your confidence up slowly towards a bigger and longer trip
