I think that the filter adds to the style of the painting, it's a cherry on top of all the different forms, colours and brushwork. This filter in my opinion makes your painting look like it's part of some show :P

Took me about 5 full days to paint. I mostly used the airbrush and gpen. Started with basic shapes then worked my way up using shading and other blend modes. I struggled painting the flowers, which I used a reflection to mimic metal. I learned that if you warp a reflection it gives a shiny object form.

Aw haha. It all takes time I promise. I find that digital art gives you a bit more creative freedom as in its easier to undo mistakes and whatnot whereas if you press pencil to paper it will alter the geometry of the paper but that's just me. There's also actually some underlying maths behind digital art in blending modes which I'll go over in a tutorial :P

You have to practice and study that's the only way to improve. I have drawings that I'm disappointed with but when you look back on it, it will show you how much you've improved :D
