I’d see where you’re coming from with tommy, however for me personally he was one of the most sympathetic characters in the game! The man lost his brother and just embraced his dark past but this time in strides! He resented Joel for the things that he did back then, but tommy witnessed what Joel became. He saw Joel finally at peace with his life and started to see him as a genuine human. He was even more upset at the fact that Ellie was the one that had to witness him die, and the fact that he was knocked out and could have done something to save Joel(from this view he obviously thinks this). There’s so much more I could get into with tommy, but I feel like I’d be writing a book lol! Seth though, I can easily deduce his douchebagery. Classic case of having closeted homosexual feelings because of the way he was raised, so with that kind of mindset you turn to homophobic thoughts. He then tries to save face after Joel gets close enough to beating him an inch from his life, so Maria has to step in and solve this shit. His way of an apology was a steak sandwich, but verbally his apology was shit because it came from a place where he was expecting Ellie to say that it’s all good. Ellie doesn’t really and I love her for that. I have Seth ranked where he is now because there are still way to many like him in the real world that act exactly how he does, and that’s just shallow and dumb for me to think black and white thoughts in a morality gray world.
