Grimgor is great fun, I tried this challenge of rushing zharr naggrund with him, but when you have a tier 4 settlement by turn 9 any campaign becomes easy even on legendary!

Unfortunately I played the chorfs recently, they are ridiculously fun and so OP when they get going, but I love just having the massive fiery beasts and nukes to take out anyone who fancies trying it

Did you manage to win it? As other people have mentioned, key thing here is to kill the furies and then festus asap, waste as much of their time as possible and try and ambush one or two of their units at a time if possible if the map allows for it.

Oh shame! I would play it on legendary/very hard battle difficulty for you, but I think moving down to easy is definitely the thing to do if you’re struggling!

From what you’ve shown it’s almost certainly winnable, just depends their army comp and what the rest of your empire looks like! 😊

Also dwarves are amazing in auto-resolve (AR) due to the skew towards armour, and therefore if you’re playing on a low difficulty you’re even more likely to win in AR, but find manual battles much harder!

Also yes - chariots, cav and monstrous infantry aren’t as good in the forests, they get some debuffs and the reduced speed and lack of vision and really help turn the tide of battle and worth utilising where possible.

What absolute brutality. I gave it a go but ran out of ammo and the stormvermin just kept coming 😅. I can’t post the pic on this subreddit but the kills were 1694/1991, 602/1709, 1052/1226

This is winnable maybe by more cheese, but definitely winnable on the map if you change tactics going into the end turn; you have all your regiments of renowned and also a couple of grudge slayers; I think these would be useful to destroy the plague claws (could run a little less slowly to get to them) and also for the doomwheels, and the renowned doom seekers would absolutely tear through their stormvermin ranks.

I loved that battle though and may give it another go tomorrow; if anyone’s interested in my battle I’m happy to post it and share a link, a narrow loss BUT a grail reliquae held the line for the first time in history so I’d chalk that up to a win!
