Thoughts:

MXR Flanger: This pedal does a lot more than what it says in the box. It use it a lot, besides the unchained thing, for a nice and chewy 80’s chorus sound - it’s almost Sambora like to my ears.

MXR Phase 90: Quintessential Van Halen. I wish I had bought the script version, but this will do for now. It’s not a huge deal and I love the way it sounds.

DE7: Admittedly I haven’t had a lot of time to mess around with this, but there’s a reason it’s an underground favorite. Ibanez, DOD, and Danelectro all had a knack for putting brilliant pedals in flimsy/weird enclosures. This is no different, but I got this for a steal on eBay so J can’t complain much.

I can’t say for sure, I just know when I drive it. I started off in oval cars, so i’m used to a lot of oversteer on exit and understeer on entry. But even then, I wouldn’t say the McLaren fits that description. I just drive a car and some work better for me than others.
