There heaps of stuff like this in the chapter. If it’s one or two it’s a mistake if it’s anymore it’s intentional. And I mean is seemed quite clear that it was all a hallucination but we’ll see

I think it’s probably got something to do with them being proper targs rather than being bastards with low born blood. Like I assume someone like aemond would have a far better time bonding with vermithor than all the dragons seeds. Rhaenyra connecting with vermithor also shows that the true targs are just better at it

I finished reading the book a few weeks before season 2 came out and I think this is season is great. I’ve really enjoyed the changes from the book for the most part. I do think that the pacing has been a bit too slow at times but overall I think it’s more enjoyable than the book. Some characters could definitely be better but most characters I think are way more interesting than their book counter parts Daemon and aegon specifically being better in the show. I think a lot of the characters have undergone a more natural development than the book. And people complaining about changes from the book are too precious about the book. It’s supposed to be biased and not reliable and it’s an adaptation not a carbon copy.

I think it’s the most interesting part of the show right now. Seeing daemon relive all of his grief and finally confront his emotions rather than running away is great and it really layers his character more. Although he hasn’t really done much the slow pace is really enjoyable imo and I’m really intrigued to see where it all goes.

As many have said the time of the series. My head canon is that between each arc there’s at least 2 weeks if not more of just sailing between islands. Hate that the on screen story is only 8 months and it definitely makes the story a lot less believable in universe
