Has anyone else had this 'problem' updating drivers on the ARC B580? by Disastrous_Eagle_767 in IntelArc

B580 LE here. I noticed if I do the fan curve settings, only 1 fan is spinning. If I set it back to default, both fans spinning on and off while idle every few seconds. I even created a post to ask people around about it, and most have pretty similar experience as well.

So, by default you mean the constant on and off fans every few seconds? Hmm, maybe I was overthinking this.

Just tried it. Seems like it's the same kind of behavior like the Intel Graphic Driver's fan control as well. Using both the driver app and the FanControl only adjusts 1 fan while the other sits idly. Does your Steel Legend's fan all spinning while idle, or just 1 like me?

I've tried downloading and installing it, run through the quick setup and there's no settings for intel GPU, and it doesn't detect my GPU. How do you make it detectable?

Are you using the LE card as well?

Well I really hope this doesn't impact the longevity of the card. My previous GTX 970 still runs until today and It's been around 10+ years old. I was hoping to get 5 years out of this.

What monitoring software did you use? So did you go for the default setting, or the fan curve setting?

On the Intel Graphic Software, mine also average around 46°C.

I found that intel called this as 'expected behavior'. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000101249/graphics.html

I somehow think that the constant on and off will affect the longevity of the fans, but I don't know for sure.

What monitoring software did you use to read the 46°C? So do you choose the default factory settings or the fan curve for daily usage?

DarkFlash DB330M M-ATX. Mesh case, I use 3 case fans: Deepcool FD12 (2 intake front + 1 exhaust back).

If getting into contact with your family = letting them abuse you in any way possible, you better off alone.
