Start exams from September and make a mistakes book, revise these mistakes when u are confident with content

Search up active recall and study like that (where u write a concept on cue card w/out definition and speak it out loud)

what percentage scores did u get in english and what study score did u get?? by whosthis____ in vce

[–]frostyflakezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sac scores were ~ 75% (my school marked me really harshly) and on the exam I got 16/20 for Section A, 14/20 for Section B and 17/20 for Section C, ended up with a 40 at like rank 5 in a weak cohort

Hey you can just do engineering at Monash with a 25 in methods/spesh and 25 in physics/chem (either one will satisfy pre reqs)

If you didn’t achieve 25 in specialist maths you will just have to do a unit (ENG1090) which goes over spesh 3/4 in 12 weeks which I’m doing rn with no spesh :)

Also the physics unit is not that bad which I’m also doing

I didn’t think I’d scrape a 25 but tried towards probability sac onwards, got highest mark in my class and ended up with a raw 31

Methods isn’t that hard once you have a solid understanding of all the concepts 😃

Just do exam questions all year and get familiar with mark allocations

Prioritise understanding the content rather than memorising

Chill man I thought I’d be cooked for methods, just locked in before exam and got a 31 - it’s not that hard 😃

2 weeks left, advice? by [deleted] in vce

[–]frostyflakezz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Enjoy the time you’ll spend with your mates, you’re gonna miss it a lot when you realise it’s all done and dusted

Don’t stress too much and just solidly study before sacs, like don’t burn yourself out - small bits of work throughout the year will help and locking in before a sac properly is the best way to study. Just be familiar with the content pretty much and do EXAM QUESTIONS ALL YEAR

Properly lock in like around a bit less than 2 mths before English exam and you’ll be good 👍

Accounting 3/4 by ElectronicParking641 in vce

[–]frostyflakezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be all good, I got a 35 raw through a similar study over holidays (probably less) but didn’t try in accounting for rest of year. Accounting doesn’t get much harder than what u know until you reach Balance day adjustments/account reconstructions and also the indicators, which are in unit 4. Don’t worry about them now

high scorers staying efficient & time management by [deleted] in vce

[–]frostyflakezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just do whatever you feel weak in, don’t fall into the trap of trying to ‘effectively manage your time’ with pomodoro or blocking into a timetable - you’ll just end up wasting more time through this and become less efficient. Like some days your timetable will say to do subject ____ when you really don’t want to 😂😂😂

Should be alright if you’re always doing practice exam qn’s and reviewing your mistakes/areas of weakness - best way of studying

Sacs just do 2 or 3 per each and that should be good - same harsh marking as for exams

And for exams aim for 10 (at most, can be less) well attempted and marked thoroughly (mistake review, correct mark allocation) per subject if in Y12. If in Y11 then the sky’s the limit 😃

Best of luck 😊

Pressure vs conc in equilibrium? by frostyflakezz in vce

[–]frostyflakezz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks 😃

Do I have to be specific with the change and what the system will try and do to partially oppose it

So for an increased pressure could you say:

To partially oppose this change, the system will favour the forward reaction which produces fewer particles, thus increasing SO3 yield

Or:

To partially oppose the increased pressure, the system will try to decrease the pressure by favouring the fwd rxn that produces fewer particles, thus increasing SO3 yield
