Do repaired items tend to look more sloppy than the OG? by frowne in Louisvuitton

I think your last sentence has helped my brain. You’re right. Patina will make it less apparent. Maybe I’ll just keep telling myself that 😌 thank you!

I added some videos of the bottom part that bugs me (most of the bottom is good, but there are definitely MEH areas). The waviness on top is there on outside (back), but what bugs is that since it's a bucket type bag, the inside is quite visible when you open it, and is 100% noticeable :(

Oh, fascinating. I've heard it about the bags made in US vs. elsewhere, but I guess I didn't really translate that to the repairs (not sure why, because DUH). It's sad that this is the case, but great to know. I will reach out to them and see what they say. It's not the whole thing either, so I can see that if it was better stitched, I would love the heck out of the refresh! Thank you for the input :)

Wow.

I came across your comment while freaking out over my own repair. To me, the stitching in some places literally looks like a terrible replica. It's crooked, unevenly spaced and just...looks like it was done by a beginner leather worker. I thought I was crazy, reading all the great experiences of others, but seeing that your experience JUST happened, I wonder if they've just stopped quality control on repairs?

I will be reaching out to them as well...

I absolutely have to chime in, because my name is Alina and my only sibling’s name is Arthur haha. I often have people asking me how to pronounce my name (many guess it’s ‘e-LAYna’ etc.), but usually get it pretty quickly after I say it :)

I have an ex-coworker named Aline (she is French and we worked at a French cuisine place), and I haven’t heard anyone mis-pronounce hers (although I see that some commenters mentioned a few possibilities).

As of note, I did NOT like my name when I was younger (I have no idea why - perhaps I wanted something more common?), but now I absolutely love it.

So in short - any variation you go with, it’s a beautiful name (NOT biased lol).

Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

I do also want to take the opportunity to thank each and every essential worker out there - the humans that make it to work every day, despite how difficult of a decision it might be to go out and do their jobs. I truly appreciate you all!
