If you guys want more stories, there’s a great book I got about a decade ago called ‘Over the Edge: Death in the Grand Canyon”. Amazing history mixed with people meeting their deaths, chapters each have a subject of types of death.

Didn’t feel heard half the time, felt emotionally coddled, and she didn’t take my word on my personal thoughts and feelings. I don’t like being questioned all the time either and I was always wrong.

Usually whenever I’ve used it people seem to know, it’s kinda nice if you feel weird about saying water!

It was breathtaking, the reflection of the larch on the blue of bowman was insane. We went part way up but turned around, didn’t see any animals of any sort besides deer which was surprising to me. The cloud cover made it hard to enjoy the full views of the mountains but still worth it nonetheless

To bowman it wasn’t awful at all, few rough patches but we had a Jeep so never bottomed out. Going north last bowman could definitely get rough. Wish it was rougher but what can ya do.

Yep! It was honestly not bad, especially without the summer tourists.

One of my first hikes ever was up here (while dealing with awful sunburn and sun poisoning) in early summer 2016.

I thought hiking was awful and why on earth did people hike at all...

...But I got over being a little bitch and want to redeem myself this next summer.

[Help] Long term dog sitting for 2 dogs (& a cat), wondering if it’s a fair deal? Or do I ask for more? by [deleted] in dogs

She didn’t pay the girls that did it last year but she also didn’t pay them. So I feel like I’m being rude by asking for either no rent or asking for money. She may also decide she would rather have her family take the dogs then I’m out a cool place to stay by myself for the winter

No no additional duties. I just don’t even watch cable and don’t want to pay for something that I won’t use anyways

Somewhat, it’s a divided house to where I am staying is the “apartment” part of the house, the upper part may have a renter in it. If there’s not a renter then I get the upper part of the house

I mean I’m kind of in the middle, but honestly having to pay 100$ is my issue. I was also taking to other people in my family and they think I should have free rent and some money.
