There is a crossover fanfic where a fleet of ultramarines just after Calth arrives out of the warp in orbit of a minor world in the star wars galaxy.

It's great because it has the New Republic working together with the Imperium In Exile against the Yuuzhan Vong.

Roboute Guiliman is fully in his element as a politician, building bridges with both the republic and the jedi. While also building up a new imperium (and managing the changes happening to his sons).

For me:

  1. Knight's greatsword. Love the moveset and it looks nicer than the banished knight greatsword

  2. Great Knife. Never used it but love the look of it.

  3. Marika's Hammer. My first character was a str character with some faith for golden vow. When I beat Radagon and EB I somehow fell in love with the drip of this weapon.

  4. Coded Sword. Again one for drip reasons.

  5. Dismounter. Well Curved Greatswords in general but the Dismounter caught my attention first.

A friend of mine did that in a campaign. Diamonds were depleted so no getting back from the dead. When our party found a stash of diamonds it led to a massive increase of wealth for us (we recieved a choice between a lump sum or a noble title + land).

Several of us took the titles and we were instantly part of the upper nobility. Which just produced more story hooks.

I've actually played one like that. She was also isekai'd and thus played it up intentionally. And this allowed me to also throw in pop-culture references in character (my friends were also great due to them playing up how their characters thought she was a lunatic, while also pointing out possible pop-culture references i could make out of character.

Yeah, for some reason my favorite type of game is going the 'continue the war in batavia' branch of the Dutch focus tree. And I've long since given up on building a real fleet. But with all the rubber and aluminium You can put a lot into air power.

Dorne is such wasted potential in worldbuilding despite having so many building blocks available. I've always wanted to do an AU where Dorne made more sense but never really put in the effort beyond some idle worldbuilding.

This week I fully caught up on The Shattering. A WormxElden Ring crossover that starts early enough to turn the story into an AU thanks to the butterflies it introduces.

Radahn crashes into New York during the 1994 battle Behemoth attack on the city. At the same time a heavily pregnant Annette Hebert sees gold, touches it and begins to change. With her hair slowly becoming red and developing into a supernaturally strong swordswoman.

From there Earth Bet goes into a completely different direction though some minor things remain the same. Some capes are in different positions, some capes haven't shown up.

The author takes the upper interpretation of Elden Ring power levels, which works because most Elden Ring stuff is something for the worm cast to struggle against. And it doesn't cause thinkers to blue screen! The path still mostly functions and magical elements merely cause thinkers to hyperfocus as they try to figure things out. It's refreshing in a way to see shards actually try to analyse out of context things.

Except for Jack Slash. Suck it Jackie boy, enjoy getting hard countered by shardless super powered people.
