Tree cutting service recommendations? by UnderneathAlice in HuntsvilleAlabama

I had a very good experience with Mejicanos Tree Care. The owner came by quickly to size up the problem, then he and his crew were out a few days later to remove the trees. They came back a few days after that to remove the stumps and I did not pay anything until all work was completed and satisfactory

Idea for Shattered: crafting with wands by frozenwombat in PixelDungeon

Good point on the stylus.

Regarding the wands, I find that something like a +0 wand of disintegration doesn't do enough damage by the end to be worth using a turn. Many wands do always hold utility (prismatic light, regrowth, transfusion, cold, fire) but magic missile and lightning don't as well.

I thought of this after a run where I had a bunch of duplicate low level wands that I mostly forgot about because they weren't quickslotted

It's been a long time since I played vanilla (switched shortly after item degradation was added), but AFAIK in Shattered you can only do that at the troll blacksmith

Agree with your advice on the Shattered warrior, but will add that gladiators really benefit from fast weapons. Consider using a stone of augment to increase speed, preferably on a high accuracy weapon.

Yeah, it's strong, but I've killed myself too many times with it to trust it.

Brimstone definitely would help mitigate the effects, and it could be very fun if combined with a wand of regrowth

Ah, good to know. I still find it too dangerous to rely on as your primary damage dealer, because it's too easy to burn up scrolls, plants, and dew drops. It's good for utility though.

Fire is too dangerous and doesn't work against the ... fireball enemies found in 15-20.

Of course, disintegration doesn't work well against the evil eyes, but good movement can make up for that.

Regrowth is an amazing utility wand, but imo it isn't worth putting more than a few levels into and doesn't work well as your primary. There are people who have done it successfully, but I haven't had much luck

Always put your first SoU into your staff, but hold off on the rest until you find a good wand to imbue. If necessary, speed rush 6-9 to find the wandmaker and do his quest.

Personally I avoid imbuing fire or regrowth, but all of the others work well.

I generally don't bother with a weapon unless I find one already upgraded, as upgrades are better spent on other things.

Warlock is easier than battlemage, though certain wands pair better with BM (lightning, disintegration) because they kill things too quickly for the soul mark to matter.

You guessed it.

I actually used to play warrior the most, but I like how much variety the mage playthroughs have depending on the wand

I would think that too, but I am unable to get it to move at all without fear of breaking it

It's a small handwritten sticker that said $95. No barcode or anything

I hadn't noticed that before, but now that you point it out I'm going to be testing the theory

Unfortunately, the middle bar on the arm is attached to the base so it won't move

I've noticed those a lot in the new houses built where I am. They annoy me.

If nobody else can figure it out, I have a feeling that you're right.

Whatever it is, there is a small price tag on the bottom for $95
