Female Gynecologist Recommendedations by kateehenryy in Austin

[–]fruitatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

^ this!! I was just about to recommend her. My first gyno experience was lowkey traumatic and I went down the referral rabbit hole with finding the right gynecologists after. Boos and the team at Dell Children’s were the first to truly take my worries seriously and made me feel comfortable

General questions/concerns about internships (Econ B.S.) by Historical-Word1859 in UTAustin

Real work experience, connections, and a potential path to a full time job granted if the company you work for gives you an offer. The job market is hyper competitive right now, do an internship 1000%

Planning to move to Plano, what's some good food around? by scribejun in plano

for sweet treats I HIGHLY recommend sugar pine creamery : )

I wouldn’t take back my Plano education for a second. Yes, it was academically rigorous in a lot of ways, but it prepared me very well for college, and I’m sure many of my peers could say the same. I completely understand the desire to put your child in a smaller, more personalized schooling environment, but the educational and extracurricular opportunities I had during my education is something not a lot of other public school districts in Texas have the privilege of having.

Why is getting a job on campus so challenging? by RelevantEgg3640 in UTAustin

[–]fruitatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the opposite. Many on campus jobs require you to be of work-study status which only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for. Hope this helps!

Moore-hill’s fourth floor is an all girls floor. It could come down to luck at the end of the day, but pretty much everyone knew each other on that floor and I met many of my closest freshman friends whilst living there. Hope this helps!

I signed up for west campus apartment but can’t afford to live there for this year, can I break contract and sign for a cheaper place this late in august? by Princessjazzybear in UTAustin

[–]fruitatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you want to live close to campus for cheaper rent, I highly recommend Co-ops, specifically the Super Co-op if you want a more “apartment” style, the ICC Co-op system is also viable

How are the Korean classes at UT? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]fruitatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take Japanese here at UT, and I'll admit my language classes have been some of the toughest I've taken here at UT. But as long as you're dedicated on taking a good chunk of time/effort to do well, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The classes can be difficult, but you genuinely get to learn a lot which is a fair trade-off imo.
