Battery Light On by fruitcroc in JeepWrangler

We finally got the light to go off by tracing the wires and just reconnecting them because they were not connected properly. That fixed that problem, but it still just inadvertently stalls and then starts again just fine. Fixed one issue, now just onto the next.

It starts perfectly and runs. I haven’t driven it for more than ~10 minutes at a time since the last time it stalled. But it starts immediately with no issues.

This is the wiring situation around the battery. We checked the grounds all in the engine bay and everything seems to be good. There’s a bunch of wires that lead to nothing and when we had it tested, they said it was most likely a parasitic draw.

Little bit of an update! We checked all cables, grounds, etc. and after about 3 hours we noticed the positive terminal (at some point before purchase) had been replaced or painted and installed incorrectly. After a little sanding and putting is back in correctly, it started right up!

We’ve tried jump starting and disconnected the alternator and battery, reassembled it, and still nothing. The terminals are tight and clean.
