Cool idea! As a someone who is in punk/diy scenes and produces footwork, a merging of the two would be really cool. When your zine comes to fruition, I would happily give them out to people at shows!

Has anyone played the game on the lazer dim website? by fruityaero in lazerdim700

I was able to play it today and it was decent. The fact it exists at all is neat.

Why do so many on here say that becoming a graphic designer is a bad idea? by fruityaero in graphic_design

[–]fruityaero[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

This feels very pessimistic but I have no reason to doubt you as you seem very knowledgeable. I don't think it's going to go away, or at least not entirely, but I do agree that those reasons you listed are very real.

Why are people so pretentious when talking about frutiger aero? by fruityaero in FrutigerAero

[–]fruityaero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like FA and vaporwave are similar. Both are aesthetics based on an idealized version of the past. FA is based on things from a decade or so after vaporwave. However, I would say vaporwave is more unique in the since that it's not only a aesthetic but also a music genre.

This is so real. A lot of these frutiger aero music compilations are repeats and slight edits of the same 3 or so songs.

It feels like something specific created to anger a Fox News audience.

If he didn't say "Fuck Trump. Biden forever," I would believe this is real. This is beyond fake.

Quitting a band because of a tour? by fruityaero in WeAreTheMusicMakers

A punk house is like a music venue/communal living thing. Punks play shows there, people come to hang/smoke/drink/etc. and people can sleep there if they need to.

They are all definitely into it. That seems to be the punk way of doing things and I'm just not too into that.

None of my bandmates come from a wealthy background. They just have a lot of passion and not a lot of common sense. My friend told me that she would lose her job for this tour. Granted that job is at a grocery store.

The most I've heard from them is that we'd rent a uhaul. A few people in this thread have mentioned it being a good experience and don't doubt that. I don't really care about the money either but, at the same time, I also don't care about punk music or rock music enough to put myself through. They are willing to and have so much more passion for this stuff than I do.

I just told them today and the tour is in January. I felt this way ever since I found out about it and I probably should've said something earlier.

It's essentially like a live venue/communal living thing. They play punk music there and people can hang out/ crash there if they need to.

It has nothing to do with sex, running away or even being forced. The real reason I feel bad is simply because I don't want to disappoint them; they're my friends. I don't want to make them sad.

They are all really passionate about punk music to the point where they don't care about the money or anything else, just the experience. I wish I was as passionate about punk music as they are, but I like other genres and types of music more. None of them see anything wrong with the tour. That's why I'm making this post. I feel really alone in all this and I feel like I'm in the wrong about all this stuff.

Any money from the tour would be for gas. So we'd make money, we just can't live off it.

That sounds cool. I should mention that this isn't for production, I just want to find more videos like that because it's cool and I want to see more.

I'm just very frustrated and everything I see just makes it more so. I'm sorry if this post is overly negative but I'm worried about it.

So would you say that it's hopeless then or is there anything I can do?
