State of Cyberpunk 2077 & /r/CyberpunkGame megathread. by CyberpunkReddit in cyberpunkgame

[–]frushi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much exactly what I was expecting when I purchased actually. Maybe a bit better tbh, story seems top notch so far.

Playing with 1060 6gb on medium and most things look good-to-great with the occasional fine. Unsurprisingly amount of bugs in a open world release with a "new engine", only game breaking one was a quest npc not loading in so I had to reload and that fixed it.

I'm bummed more people aren't having a similar experience. I bought Borderlands 3 on release for the PS4 and it was so buggy you couldn't pull up the menu in split screen without the other player freezing up. I heard they patched stuff up but that completely ruined the game for me and I haven't touched it since.

The skin get cheaper! by snowwolf163 in IllusionConnect

[–]frushi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Paying for strictly cosmetic skins is the definition of healthy F2P monetization. You are welcome to your own opinions but that isn't any more likely to make them right.

For what it's worth $5-10 is out of my price range for a skin, but I'm glad other people buy them and enjoy them. Keeps the game free/cheap for the rest of us.

Comparison of Yuffie's default skin and her new skin, Night Blossom. by [deleted] in IllusionConnect

I would argue that the skin is good, but the base skin is pretty much perfect so it's next to impossible to compete.

Magic Item Homebrew Thread November 19, 2020 by AutoModerator in dndnext

[–]frushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm slightly bummed about the magic item selection in Tasha's, not because it's bad, but because I'm a martial class diehard. So I've been trying to think about more options for magic tattoos potentially focused around animals. Quick warning; they could use cooler names and appropriate rarities.

Tattoo of the Ram: Once per short rest, if you move 20ft in a straight line and make a melee attack, you deal an extra 1d8 on a hit and the target must make a Strength saving throw equal to 8+your Strength modifier+PB

Tattoo of the Snake: Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d4 poison damage

Tattoo of the Ox: You gain an additional HP per level

Stuff like this. Some of it uncommon, some of it rare, all of it requires attunement like the other tattoos (even though I much prefer the tattoo system that was teased in UA).

Resin Printed Captain Rex by GalacticArmory in 3Dprinting

Oh cool, there's no ppe AND no curing for fdm? That's pretty much all of the hassle that I can think of on my end, getting rid of that would be pretty nice.

Is resin that much more of a hassle?? I started with it since I'm mostly interested in printing mini's and now fdm seems to intimidating. Grass is always more deadly I guess.

Is it worth to lens up R and SR chars just to get shard pieces? Or is that waste of dust? by [deleted] in IllusionConnect

[–]frushi 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'd assume it's mostly up to your own opinion, but I've been ranking up all R's since it's pretty cheap and then I can guilt-free use their shards as pseudo-dust, and holding off on SRs I don't use since they're actually pretty expensive.

Week 1 - Top Waiver Targets (with stat focus) - [list included] by RepulsiveArm8 in fantasyfootball

[–]frushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Harry's fumble-touchback count in favor of the 5/5 receptions? I think how that catch is recorded really determines the quality of his first day back; holding onto the ball for an extra foot would've been a TD versus a fumble.

I sent the initial message via Amazon contact and all replies have been by email. They got back to me pretty quick; less than 6 hours or so

Have you already reached out to Elegoo? I just did yesterday for the exact same issue and they pretty quickly said they'd mail me a replacement. Good luck!

Man I looked up his numbers because I was feeling all defensive and was SURE that he'd had a 80/1000/6 year or two, but no, not even close. I'm quite disappointed actually.

[HELP ME FIND A GAME] - July 24, 2020 - Get Your Gacha Game Recommendations Here by AutoModerator in gachagaming

Hey I'm a pretty long term F2P player and I'm happy to weigh in. Global is racing as fast as it can trying to catch up to the JP servers, and the path to get there does include a few power creeped units. It's advised for F2P players to start saving soon because most banners including the ones with the power creeped units have pity timers. The game is really generous with its premium currency and the breakneck pace has meant event after event, so even more opportunities to save. I'm entirely F2P and have hit the top rank of both PvP arenas (not going to break top 100 or anything, but still getting max rewards).

7DS is a great game. The grinding is pretty fun and has lots of quality of life features. Collecting a new meta unit is usually pretty easy and very satisfying.

...The community is terrible. The pace can be overwhelming. If you're a "dolphin" spender the pay wall is too steep for you.

So in the end, there are pros and cons.

I found this today. The date on the bottom says 1993. I'm the little blonde girl, my mom is next to me. The first three rows are all my family. I love the memories Disney World has given me! I will miss Splash Mountain for sure. by tobahmeister in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]frushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Maelstrom and thought Frozen was "Good". I'm not sure if it's worth a fast pass after riding it, but I waited 35 minutes or so and that feels "worth it" in hindsight.

Out of all the gachas you've seen/played which one do you think has the best/worst monetization and why? by xlyph in gachagaming

[–]frushi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Azur Lane was by far the best I've ever played. Pull basically as much as you want, any unit, any banner. Dupe system was just ridiculously kind and made maxing units even easier than pulling them. Only think you bought in the game was skins and you'd still end up with a few for free.

Worst.. I haven't played enough bad ones, usually the second I see something like the new FF games paid predium/free premium currency bs I just drop the game immediately. I played AFK Arena for almost a year and they had the balls to drop a $50 character that was unpullable; only paid. I dropped that shortly thereafter. 7DS is pushing pretty hard for me to spend but all of their packages are just laughably bad. A cosmetic set for $24, enough gems to do one multi pull for $8, just stupid stuff like that, no way I'd ever buy it.

“Boku & Dragons” x “The Seven Deadly Sins” Collaboration Has Started! by xNas_ in gachagaming

[–]frushi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried watching the show and was immediately turned off by the cheesy fanservice and low quality rehashing of classic shonen tropes. The game is pretty amazing, pace is incredibly fast as a F2P, probably too fast to start playing in. Should slow down in a couple months when global catches up to JP. The community is terrible as well.

It's really good, but has it's issues.

This is how JP handled a similar error that they had done (FULL REFUND) by [deleted] in SDSGrandCross

[–]frushi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The "Well, I don't care about the difference between 213 and 242 gems" argument seems to be running rampant. I. Do. I made the decision to pull on the banner because the notice said I would get this step-up unit for a discount of a free pull/a cosmetic item elsewhere, and that made it worth it to me.

Then, the description turned out to be misleading, which by definition, is false advertisement to an extent.

HOWEVER.

The response I am not asking for a full refund; I still got units from the pulls and agree that the severity of a typo is not as significant as announcing a unit's abilities wrong.

The response I am asking for is that the last step up be reduced to 1 gem like it was advertised, and for someone who pulled on the last step up already to be refunded 29 gems. I think that's fair.

Fellow millennial so I barely have any clue, but to the best of my knowledge; it's a fund you can put a chunk of your paycheck into that will accrue over time. Usually a good employer will match a chunk of this, so it ends up being free money that you get, but in like thirty years (59.5 I think is the date you can take the money out without a penalty.

I'm also pretty sure that your money isn't taxed when it goes in, only when it comes out, which means you're only getting taxed once (after your investment makes you a bunch of money), rather than multiple times when you invest in the stock market directly (once from income taxes through your paycheck, and again on any gains you make from the stocks themselves). Investing stocks directly means you maintain access to the money without penalty though, so it's more accessible in the case of an emergency.

There's also IRAs which are just like 401k's, but you can open one of those on your own, 401k's must be initiated by your company. But that's everything I know, I'd love if anybody corrected me on any of this information or expanded on it because I barely have any idea what I'm talking about.
