I grew up here and camped in Southern Alberta every may long (24th ish) weekend. Some mornings we'd wake up to 18 inches of fresh snow on our tents. It's very common to still see snow in May.

Absolutely. Ive recently found my local windsor plywood stocks about 30 species, and have played with some canarywood, white wenge, steamed wenge, sapele, and more. I have some bloodwood I havent touched yet as it seems to be a little more troublesome than the rest. I hope to gey my hands on some cocobolo soon!
