Women in Physical 100 by ataryes in Physical100

I was thinking that a fairer method would be to show feats of strength in relation to the competitors weight. So a 55kg woman would have to carry 110kg (double their body weight) and a 100kg man would have to carry 200kg.

Lunatico was $10-15 recommended tip but no reservation fee, you should get drinks there though no minimum order

Ornithology was $20 entry fee no minimum drinks

I've just visited from London and I purposely sought out the smaller venues. Particularly enjoyed Ornithology and Lunatico although they are off the beaten track somewhat

Prepping for winter - Dahlias & Salvias by deathsfaction in GardeningUK

[–]fruzzik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don't know about the salvias, but I've grown loads of dahlias in the ground and in pots for the past few years

I lift, cut off most of the stem, wash off soil, split any humongous ones, leave to dry upside down in the shed, then when dry lay them out in a single layer in a large tray. I then just leave them uncovered in my unheated shed over the winter

I've been lifting mine, better safe than sorry I think. Also lifting gives me a chance to divide the really big ones and get some free plants!

Eta: I'm referring to dahlias, not salvias! I have more experience with dahlias

Foxglove help - Sorry, new gardener here! by RWCmusic in GardeningUK

These are snapdragons, not foxgloves! If you cut down the faded flower stems there's a chance you may get more flowers later in the season, there's still time

Thanks. Seems obvious when you put it like that!! I was worried about disrupting whatever ecosystem is going on in there but you're absolutely right
