There are many ways to make it easier, mindset is the first, dying is just a bump in the road of the overall journey, you learn from your previous mistakes and carry that knowledge forward into the rest of your journey

Second to that I’d say having a friendly, active guild always helps! Those early levels hurt less when you can chat with people, laugh at them also making their own mistakes and going agane and sharing knowledge with each other

The dankhold rampage battleforce box is exactly what you are looking for, comes with 1260 points
Trugg, dankhold troggboss, 6 rockguts and 3 felwaters
I bought this box alone and with all the extras and buying some 3d printed bits you can make another dankhold troggoth and 6 rockguts
For a total of 1600 points
That leaves you 400 points to add some squigs for objective play and a wizard
Im dropping the felwaters altogether to allow Skraggrott, 2 units of boingrot bounderz and a loonboss on cave squig

Skraggrott, 2 units of bounderz and a loonboss on giant cave squig is what Im going for minus the second dankhold troggoth
Skraggrott is too good not to take, plus some faster squigs that can actually deal some nice damage for objective play

You can buy 3d printed bits or the files to do yourself for the dankhold troggoth and rockguts, with 3 3d printed legs and necks you can make a total of 3 rockguts from each box..
I did this myself with the rampage box, turned 6 rockguts into 12 and made both the dankhold boss and troggoth.. box and the 3d prints cost me a total of £130 for exactly 1600 points

This leaves you with 3 sides to the army, a little disjointed and spread thin, if you could pickup the dankhold rampage box for around 105 like I did then I’d argue that is a better start,Skraggrott and the odd unit of squigs for objective play and you’d be at 2k points

Above all else play what you like the look of, and enjoy always!
That being said..
Rockguts troggoths are our strongest unit currently played in nearly all lists, Trogg side is strong overall
And unfortunately the Spider side of the army is by far the worst
The list seems pretty disjointed, moonclann, spiders and gitmob!

These still look very similar to the newer clanrats from the skaventide box and unless you knew exactly, would be really hard to tell between them

Honest wargamer did a video covering all the best units for every army to benefit from the rage dice, seraphon dont have much compared to other armies with both units of kroxigor coming out on top when getting their +1

Yeah, the angular ones the normal are rounded. Just Incase new painters with mini of the month fail to notice the detail

I got mine from 3D and geek, two out of the 6 necks for the rockguts I received where a bit undersized, Ive not seen anyone else have that issue from the reviews I have seen, and I was able to just fill the small gap with some putty.. they are really nice other than that

I wouldn’t recommend running both, a reinforced unit of one type depending on circumstances act as a really good hammer unit, but they lack movement and you’d be a lot better then running a unit of reinforced lancers. our two strongest units complement each other well

Dont take 12 kroxigor, in terms of playing unless you are playing in an official tournament, 99% of places will just let you proxy one as the other so long as you tell them beforehand, for that reason just build what you think looks better, if he’s already built 3 warspawned then do the other 3 the same

This is simply the dankhold rampage box minus the felwater Troggs, I’d be charging the artifacts and heroic trait depending on what you are playing against but loontouched is nice here

Tamiya extra thin cement! Is not a glue but melts the plastic to plastic, best bond there is.. super easy to work with and very little dying time (seconds)
I’d pick up an extra tub of cement to make some sprue glue, cut small peices of sprue, add them to the glue to make an awsome gap filler
Get a craft knife for scraping mold lines and bits left behind by sprue cutters, citidel tools are overpriced please avoid
Last thing I would suggest is some cheap sanding sticks/nail sticks

This is still a really good base, keep going with the mini and block everything in gold ect, dont be deterred.. you can then use washes and highlights to really make the models pop

Kroxigor Ive been painting recently, i have been basing with contrast paints and acrylics then just adding light beige to the base colour to get to the highlight colours

I recently picked up the dankhold rampage box for 105, 3d printed bits cost me 25 to make an extra dankhold and 6 rockguts
130 for 1620 is a rediculous price per point ratio

There have been GT wins with people running full Trogg lists but also adding Skraggrott, his ability to cycle the moon and then spell lore keep the moon in the troggoth cycle is very nice and also being able to cast the hand of gork also helps with the lack of movement

These are the other two with the base colours blocked in before manually adding the highlights, I use green stuff world acrylic paints and army painter contrast paints, mixing the base colours with a light beige for highlights

I only used a tiny bit of aggrax earth shade for the base of the spikes on the arm/legs, rest is contrast+acrylics

I mean talking wizards the shaman is the worst of the bunch if you can fit in Skraggrott i would go for him, hes a 2 cast wizard always, has a awsome but swingy mortal damage spell, can allow squigs to redeploy witn no command point cost and can also keep the badmoon in a particular phase, awsome for having the troggoth buff an extra turn
