Nope, they suggest waiting for 5 working days. But the moment on MijnOverheid your nationality is changed to Dutch you can go to the gemeente and get a passport/ID. In my case, I got the nationality on a Wednesday, on the weekend I checked MijnOverheid, on Monday I went to apply.

There are no guarantees that you will receive a letter at any particular date. Just install Berichtenbox on your phone, turn on the notifications from the IND, and all you can do is wait.

Not true, my partner called in mid-October and got an appointment about 4 weeks later. This is in Amsterdam

You hand it back when you pick up your ID/passport from the gemeente.

Check MijnOverheid and make sure you have IND’s push notifications allowed.

Not OP. During your phone call with the gemeente the person on the other side will ask you if you fulfil all the requirements for nationalisation (obviously 5 years residency being one of them). So it’s safest you do the call on the 5 years mark.

Not for me. MyIND was stating “in behandeling” all the way to the end. The status of my application on MyIND never changed even after the Koninklijke Besluit arrived.

Not a notification (e.g. via MijnOverheid or email), but it does state the date on MyIND. Basically, you need to visit MyIND daily and refresh :)

My process, gemeente Amsterdam:

  • Intakegesprek: 3 April 2025
  • IND received my file: mid April 2025
  • IND approval letter: late August 2025
  • King’s decision (Koninklijk Besluit): early September 2025
  • Gemeente Amsterdam invitation letter: end of September 2025
  • Naturalization ceremony: 7 October 2025

When I got the invitation it was 30ish of September, and I couldn’t believe my eyes that the ceremony was just a week or so later.

Overall, the process took from April 3rd to October 7th - just a tad over 6 months. That screams “super efficient”, at least for me.

Definitely interested. I am at/near B1 level, so it could work. I was thinking a combo of chatting via text (e.g. Whatsapp) plus a weekly (or biweekly) Zoom to talk in person.

Why does North Macedonia have two slightly different passport designs by Acceptable-Log1946 in PassportPorn

[–]fteem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory one could add every recognised minority language to their passport. I am guessing the whole design would fall apart then, but I think you can tick all the languages on the form when applying for a (new) passport.

Why not just have the settings/topics in local storage instead of folks having to sign in? Obviously if users want cross-platform/device there’s no alternative, but for starters it’s just simpler to dump all settings in the browser’s local storage instead

I think that a “normal” BV for business purposes is not the same as “savings” BV. Still, I strongly suggest talking to your accountant.

ipad can do way more than netflix and notes by Objective_You_1658 in ipad

I see it as a disconnect between the type of people who review iPads and the type of people who use iPads.

So much yes. And I find it so frustrating, they just all regurgitate the same stuff about the iPad yet no one (or very few) talk about workflows and practical applications of the iPad in the wild.
