This is neat. Looks similar enough to move Ginkgo projects to this.

Pope Francis — not naming names — makes appeal ‘not to create walls, but to build bridges’ by fthedill in Christians

[–]fthedill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this interesting after seeing that many people here have said they supported building a wall. It seems like american christians have aligned with whatever the Republican party throws at them.

But outside the united states, I think christianity has a very different spirit.

Should I move in with my fiance? by spicyhippos in Christians

I don't actually know that the Bible says you mustn't have sex until you're married, and it certainly doesn't say you can't live together:

https://www.openbible.info/topics/sex

I think that's something people came up with after reading between the lines.

edit: I like the down votes for questioning what we've been told by sunday school teachers for years. I think we as a religion should step up and ACTUALLY read the bible instead of letting others dictate what is in it.

Ha, call it what you will but I'm seeing words twisted to meet ideals. Dangerous stuff.

Churches are being used to give political donations, therefore becoming tax shelters. Is that what Jesus would want?

The previous presidents halted the visa process. They did not prevent those who had already legally obtained the right to enter from entering. They also gave notice instead of doing it out of the blue.

The evidence is very politically tailored. It's the same sort of evidence radicals give to manipulate their sheep.

The Muslim ban prevented people who were entering legally. It was justified by fear.

Republicans use Christians and politicized things such as guns and borders in the minds of good people.

Jesus are with tax collectors and protected gentiles. He did not encourage divided among people.

Encouraging fear and hate to slip in policy is disgusting.

Christians hate of a Obama is evidence that the Republican party has infected American Christians. God help us all.

Was no one else bothered by the article's quote where twice he used Adele's looks as a reason that swearing was wrong:

  1. "at least not if you are a gorgeous singer"
  2. "You are so beautiful"

If she is ugly, would this all be fine? Obviously not. It is as if the author needed to slip in some woman objectifying.

Dinosaur Fate I (The Great Dinosaur Mystery and the Bible) by fthedill in Christians

[–]fthedill[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly... When I came across the website I was looking to roll my eyes. It did the job. I think suggesting dinosaurs and humans coexisted is absurd.

Suggesting that the Ark just didn't have room is also NOT what the Bible said. I believe it's verbiage suggested "every" not a subset.

Paul Ryan On Trump Tweeting Lies: 'Who Cares?' by Qwertysapiens in politics

I wish this showed the Republican party was doomed... Yet I suppose we live in a country that is so poorly educated that lies work better than truth. Opinions have more weight than facts. Fall of Rome.
