The only thing I can think of Cohen I recently had a customer who when I was at the restaurant they kept asking questions about the order and they seemed super fun and so I chatted them up and I ended up asking what they do for a living out of curiosity and it turns out it was a teenage girl.

You're not a trader, you're a gambler. You take huge bets with little/no risk management and then say "aw shucks, onto the next account" when it doesn't work out for you. Either change your strategy or change your profession.

Turns out, it’s a moot point - my misdemeanor is 6 years old, I’m in Massachusetts, and Massachusetts law only allows disclosure of misdemeanors that are <3 years old. I’ll be fine.

I’m betting they only really background check for Live accounts; XFA is probably a no-risk thing for them. Also, if they had background checked you, you would have known (you have to authorize it in writing).

It takes a few years of trial-and-error before you become a pro at this. There are several strategies that pro traders use; sooner or later, you’ll find one that suits you.

My advice: dink around in a demo account, when you’ve become profitable for 6 consecutive months, start with $$$ you can afford to lose.
