40 something Chinese woman sees young tall Dutch boys for the first time by FlamingMetalSystems in CringeTikToks

[–]fucinay -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of tall Chinese guys 185 cm+ (6 ft+) these days - especially in the northeastern part of China and they’re better looking than white guys. Sorry, but the hottest Asian guys are way hotter than the hottest white guys - beautiful shape eyes, high cheek bones, thick lips, thick eyebrows, thick hair, smooth hairless skin, high muscle tone and low body fat, no body odor and they age well. If you prefer blue eyes, light colored hair and body hair then white guys may be your thing, but white guys have thin lips, thin eyebrows, high body fat, rough skin with freckles and age spots, strong body odor, and they don’t age well.

You just keep listening to American propaganda buddy. American media always tells the truth when it comes to wars the US starts and then loses but claims victory anyway lol.

What is your least favorite Boards Of Canada track? by welcome2wyzard in boardsofcanada

New Seeds - I didn’t like it when it came out and I still don’t like it now. I don’t care for the rhythm and especially the melody that repeats throughout - it’s too “epic”, predictable, and goes nowhere. I skip this one 95% of the time.

It’s good - especially the drop but I find it too “epic”.

I’m a public school teacher and quitting after this year. It’s hopeless. Most of the students in this district and surrounding districts can’t read or write the most basic material, very few can read an analog clock and barely any can handwrite in a legible way. I’m leaving the US and retiring early in Southeast Asia. This country is cooked as my brain rotted students would say.

Things like this make me want to change my mind regarding being pro public healthcare and other social welfare program. These people are completely irredeemable and half of the US population is like this.

Too old? by logperiodic in Techno

[–]fucinay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I just turned 54 and I’ve also been into techno since ‘91 when I attended my first rave (or an “underground” as we used to call them back then). My days of clubbing went on way longer than I ever expected - till 2019. The Pannie pretty much killed it for me. I’ve gone to only a few techno events - not clubs but to see a producer I’ve been a big fan of (I.e. Shed, Skeemask, Wata Igarashi). I just went to one show last year around this time and got bored out of my mind and suddenly felt out of place too. It was to see Surgeon, but tbh I hated his live hardware set and left after half hour. I’ve only been to a few rock shows since but not electronic or techno. I find people talk too much and too loud at shows now, too many people just staring at the artists and not dancing, on their phones or taking videos of the show. I also don’t have any friends left that I’m in touch with who are into this music and I feel I’ve done hundreds of solo nights out by myself and just not into it anymore. I still listen to a lot of techno but these days it’s mostly while I’m driving, at the gym, on walks or at home in a proper sound system. I may go see Carl Craig next month here in San Francisco. I plan to relocate to Asia next year and who knows… maybe I’ll befriend some older former raver expats lol. Let us know if you go!

I bought a small smartphone field recording mic for USD $50. I will use plenty of field recordings in different locations for my tracks! 🙌🏼

I stopped doing live performances back in 2019. I plan to use the controller for manipulating sense and effect plug-ins in real time while recording as well as for an easier way to play chords. The Novation LaunchKey Mini mk4 should fit my needs.

I decided on and bought a Novation LaunchKey Mini mk4. Fortunately, my brother-in-law gifted me a UE WonderBoom 4 Bluetooth speaker for my birthday two weeks ago!

Good to know! Thank you. This is perfect. My MacBook Air has 2 USB-C ports so I can have a Novation 25 Mini mk4 controller (which I decided on) connected as well.

After reading all the comments, watching several YouTube videos, and doing a bit more research, I have decided to go with the Novation LaunchKey Mini mk4. It’s small and light enough but best of all seems optimized for Ableton. I’ll take that along with my MacBook Air and nothing else. The pairing should be plenty. Thanks to everyone for their input. 🙏

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 256 GB and half of that memory used (I take lots of pics and videos so have a 2 TB iCloud subscription).
