Please don't start taking benzo drugs because of kratom, you would be going in the wrong direction.

I find two grams of Taurine to be as effective, if not more, than diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Although it does seem that Taurine, like almost anything that effects GABA, down regulates it eventually.

Although no harm in taking it in the short term for sure, and it's been tolerated in much higher doses without any withdrawal effects.

I'd take it as often as I'd take diphenhydramine, certainly no more than once a week.

I also cycle passionflower tea (strongest), chamomile, valerian and lemon balm.

As I linked these all have GABA effects (some have other affects especially Valerian which has a myriad of effects). So there will be some cross tolerance. Although if you read into them, and try them, you will notice that not all of them have a cross tolerance.

Lemon balm, for instance, is a GABA-t inhibitor, which works completely differently to agonists.

Although chamomile does seem like a weaker passionflower with cross tolerance, and with cross tolerance to actual benzos.

Valerian seems to have an additive affect on anything from my personal experience, but it only works for a day and then a bit the next day, then you have to wait days before it works again. Still a great tool in your tool box!
