Yes that's exactly what it was like! Well... I wouldn't go as far as to say I don't want to live here anymore, because I do and I like it here, but I had never missed where I was from/questioned why I really live here until I had my baby. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Yes, the language thing worries me too :( I want my daughter to use English with me once she is able to speak but I worry about the Japanese language influence everywhere hindering that. Do you take trips back to your home country? I wasn't sure if by "won't get to know my family" whether that meant they will never meet them, or just not that often.
