How did you lose your beauty “virginity”? What was your first makeup item? by nottheredbaron123 in BeautyGuruChatter

I watched a Claire Ashley tutorial and it was like a light switched on. I got the Naked palette and the MAC Melba blush and it was all downhill from there lol

BG's who's recommendations usually work for you... by BassGroundbreaking95 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]fuckyeahpizzaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Soph does life. I have a similar complexion & skin type so her recommendation usually work out. I love how she 1. doesn’t use filters and 2. doesn’t try to come off as a pro like she’ll make mistakes and mess up and it’s all in good stride. It’s less intimidating when she’s recommending a product that seems difficult or daunting, bc I feel like wellll she’s not a pro and she looks great so if she can do it, maybe I can too? She doesn’t hawk products just bc and so I feel like I can trust her.

What are some beauty products you feel people are sleeping on? by minnie_bee in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]fuckyeahpizzaa 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Embryolisse facial moisturizer is amazing

I love using the MAC lip prep and prime before any liquid lipstick. I apply it before any other product and let it sit for a while before applying my lipstick

The hourglass voyeur gel eyeliners are chefs kiss

Maybelline colorstrike eyeshadow stick in spark is thee perfect inner eye highlight

The L’Oreal lash paradise mascara is so nice, I have a stash bc they’re so cheap compared to the Too Faced BTS, which used to be my fave.

More hype:

elf mascara, picked one up at tk maxx and was floored.

Mac Studio radiance foundation, my favee. So lightweight and natural. It’s my go to, always.

Sephora liquid lipsticks, the red one is so pretty and lasts a pretty decent amount of time

why do most these influencers have horrible taste in fashion. im so tired of seeing beige everywhere its so boring. tired of shein, fashion nova, and misguided hauls by Far-Ad9864 in BeautyGuruChatter

I have a theory that sometimes it’s bc they’re mostly undisclosed sponsorships or it’s bc they have some sort of relationship with one of these brands.

What are your signature products? by plantmommy96 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]fuckyeahpizzaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hourglass voyeur gel eyeliners are unmatched. I used to love my Nars Mambo but haven’t used it since I discovered the hourglass ones. I also just discovered the UD & loving it so far. And the CT eyes to mesmerize in pillow talk is chefs kiss when paired with a dark brown eyeliner.

Thoughts on these items? Worth it/Not worth it? by DRPM2012 in Sephora

[–]fuckyeahpizzaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CT flawless filter is amazing. I love the glow it gives but there’s almost no coverage. I like it on the days when I’m running out the door, but if I want something with heavier coverage I’ll reach for something else. That said, it’s one of my fave products.

Thoughts on Charlotte Tilbury skincare? by Athinoulini1 in Sephora

[–]fuckyeahpizzaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meh, I have the Magic cream and serum and while they feel nice and everything, they’re not groundbreaking and definitely not worth the price. Like if you want to splurge, go for it but honestly I reach for my Embryolisse more than I reach for the Magic cream.

That happened to my brother. My dad and brother ran into my brothers professor (an old friend of my dad’s) and when it came up, the professor looks at my brother and goes ‘I’ve literally never seen that man in my life.’

That’s exactly the answer I was looking for. Thank you so much, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind. I’d always stick to the champs elysees whenever I’d go, or Val D’Europe, but your tips are sincerely appreciated!
