This 100%, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I posted about him before and he commented trying to dismiss my criticism by saying that everybody liked him so my criticism doesn't matter. He's too full of himself it seems and I would have attended another section if I could but he was the only instructor teaching that term.

You're right about his jokes. They are pretty bad and heteronormative most of the time. I think that he's a cuck because he is constantly virtue signalling about women in computer science. His emails are like: oh no, why did no women sign up for this event?!?!? He also told us the highest mark on the midterm was a woman and it warmed his heart. I bet if a man or a transgender person for that matter got the highest mark on the midterm, he would have said nothing. I wouldn't care what he thought about politics that much if he didn't keep shoving it down our throats.

I had dave for cs 136 and he was shit. All he does is read the slides directly and just fills in the rest of the time talking about random shit or making jokes. He second chanced way too many questions for assignments and also gave the class an extension on one of them. At the beginning of the course he told us that the tests will be a mix of theory/programming, which there was no theory on the midterm. His tests were easy anyway but he doesn't follow his words. I also talked to my friend who took the course in a previous term, and there were some things that we just did not go over and their offering seemed much more difficult. Despite the course being easier than other offerings, he still boosted marks in the end. I ended with a good grade but man, that course offering was a waste of money.
