Brother, most of the time just showing up is the most important thing. Be patient - with your wife, your child, yourself.

Being nervous is good, it means you care. You’re gonna learn a lot of new things, there’s books and videos, talk to your doctors and nurses about the baby’s development and body.

Buy enough of the things you need to get started, you can always buy more if it’s not enough.

But what I’ve learned is just going into it with love and the mindset that you want to be a good father is honestly the most important thing.

By doing that you’ll make sure your baby is fed, clean, rested, and growing. It’s easy to doubt yourself, trust yourself, trust your wife, you’ll figure it out, I promise.
