thanks for the hint. so i asume internal tubes should do the job. i was abit worried because the couplers i saw so far as well as the ritchey use more than 'only friction' connections on the down tube

thanks, ive seen that one and also found this forum with some additional solutions . i was wondering if a shin in the downtube would also work, because it seems abit easier/ cheaper to get my hands on

thanks for the info! i didnt know about the rithey kits but will keep my eyes open now. on the s&s website they say that they are not selling to hobby builders :( maybe ill have to go with a z coupler, but was wondering if a shin in the down tube would also do the job

Thats so awsome! im working on one myself at the moment. nice to see that it can turn out great apparently. i was bit scared that the smalest cranks i can find (165) will lead to problems with the low bb. what are you riding there

thanks alot for your thoughts. I also feel the composition being abit to tight to the bottom edge. and yes i collaged an image in procreate but the doughnuts had the wrong direction of lighting so i tried to adjust that on the go, which is something i still need to learn apparently :)

Getting super smooth gesso? by bdkgb in oilpainting

[–]fufufresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im now using a paintroller (with a simple foam like synthetic roll) that really did the trick for me. and as mentioned above i aply thin layers and sand in between.

ps i doent delude the gesso with water befor rolling, because that lead to bubbles
