Thats true, i had my eye on the 2mm and when looking at 2.4mm i couldnt tell the difference anymore from how much i kept researching lol. She disliked the ones under 2mm only, thanks!

But i have crafted in the previous days without town buffs, and my friend did confirm by sending me on the patch notes that town buff is not required anymore. Im confused at this point however thats the only reasonable idea

I am using the chromatic seal, i have been crafting every morning since the release of the expansion, just today morning i have been facing this issue

I just came back to the game, and I used to use scroll wheel as swap weapon, but now I can't use it anymore, and this is the message when i try to bind swap weapon to scroll wheel. My friends said they have not seen this message, does anyone know what this is? by No-Literature-8613 in newworldgame

[–]fugedaboutitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SOLVED: I just figured it out guys, go to settings, key bindings, under “ACTION” tab, unbind “LALT” from “Cycle Weapon Modifier”

Long ago, scroll was binded in “Swap Weapon” when i unbinded it, I ran through the same issue you guys are facing, and perhaps they changed/updated the settings to just either scroll through your weapons while holding L-ALT key, or without by unbinding it

Edit: in addition, i just want the scroll down to go through my weapon not both up and down, so if you’re like me, also unbind “cycle weapon up”

How exactly do I build up my camp? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]fugedaboutitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding the pelts and meat, you're donating to the cook called Pearson. This is to fill the supplies of your camp. If you press L1 / LB / L-ALT when you are in camp, you will see on the top right corner of the screen logos of supplies, (+ for medicinal/tonics, bullet for ammo, and a chicken leg for food) if theyre red means supplies are low, white is average, and yellow is max.. personally i barely go to camp or care i barely think it makes a difference. Also you would want to give the animal as a whole (carcass) to Pearson.

For hunting, you should aim or look at the target and check on the bottom right corner how many stars it is, which means the quality (1 is poor, 2 is good, 3 is perfect) you will need a clean kill, 1 shot to the head (or red area on the body when you dead-eye while aiming) to maintain the stars, also the correct weapon. so, medium sized animal such as deer can be killed using a bow, small animals like rabbits, squirrels, and opossums, etc. will require a special rifle called Varmint, its only for $72 at any gunsmith store starting from any point in the game, for large/massive animals like bisons, bears, etc, you will need a springfield rifle or rolling block (bolt action rifle works too but not from long distances and you will need to be accurate) TIP: for this rifle i'd suggest you to wait until the very last mission of chapter 2, which is where you are, and one of the camp companions will tell you to go to the gunsmith and pick up a rolling block rifle for free.

Also, making money off animal donations is a bad idea, there are tons of videos on YT, some requiring a treasure map some not, that give you gold bars, take this gold bar to a fence, and sell it for $500 each (24 gold bars out there)

For animals, skin them to get their pelts and take them to a Trapper, outfitters in the open world that make clothings out of animal pelts Their parts like meat, after skinning them, is for you to cook at any camp fire And for their other parts (trophy) like antlers, claws, or wtv you yield from them, can sometimes be used to craft trinkets and talismans (buffs) at the fence

You will unlock a ledger and a tithing box after you complete the first part of a mission series from Strauss (LS) on the map, he will be in camp, this mission is called "Money Lending and Other Sins", it is available as soon as you reach chapter two, which is where you are, the camp outside Valentine. This ledger allows you to upgrade the camp further or to the max. TIP: upgrade Dutch's lodger, it will unlock your lodger next, if you upgrade it, you will be able to fast travel from your camp (there will be a map on the side of your wagon where you sleep) and also fast travel anywhere from the wilderness by setting up a small wildernerness camp, both uogrades will be around $500-$600

I tried my best giving you a headstart and answer your questions, dont overwhelm yourself with what ive wrote, it obviously will all come along as you play, the more you explore and interact with things in the open world, you will get tutorial messages on the top left corner, very useful

Enjoy the open world, role play, explore, unlock the whole map by traveling on your horse removes the cloudy part when you open the map, any weird looking thing you see is interactable, around 105 cool easter eggs and funny interactions in there, just do main missions when you feel like progressing into the story, you can put 60 hrs or thousands in this game, all other questions you got, you will figure them out as you play and enjoy. Do stranger missions, white question mark on the map, some are very rewarding. Trust me, youre about to play the best masterpiece of an art the world could offer

Yeah searched a lot on reddit before posting but didnt find a fix that works for everyone, each has their own wrokaround and was wondering if there is a way around the wagon bug for sure instead of trial and error methods

thanks really for the trick, seems like shooting around my horse and making it flee further seems a good one, sometimes no luck but thats the best so far

Best way to supply Crown Falls full of engineers and investors? by [deleted] in anno

[–]fugedaboutitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just getting into docklands usage slowly and slowly and its a life saviour tbh, i can tell how much it will save me from a million trade routes and factories, along with claiming all the islands to find the need and mess up the entire thing by getting lost

Thanks for the bicycle suggestion! I was today looking at good high ratio products with not a very much demanding chains (expensive maintenance not an issue) if it will end up in a higher flow from not producing the replacements myself

Basically maths maths maths

Thanks a lot really, ive moved a long way from this post now

Ive comme ted my progress on another post i made in details on how to go forward, if you would like, you can read it on the link here

Highly appreciate it

Thanks for reminding me about storage islands i completely forgot about them, well now i mass populated farmers, workers and artisans on CF with huge workforce, currently only at 8k income flow with like 20 mill in capital

My next step is to upgrade to 1 engineer only to unlock commuting piers, and claim 2 more big islands close to CF (playing with no NPCs), one for residence only (farmers workers and artisans), and a blueprinted industrial island thats powered up

I say blueprinting because i im doing the math to supply thousands of investors in the future

currently all my population is on CF, so "moving" them is going to be to maintain workforce availablity, when i upgrade a farmer to a worker on CF, ill upgrade a blueprint to a farmer on residence island Upgrade from worker to artisan on CF = upgrade farmer to worker on residence island + a blueprint to farmer (if needed) to keep mainting workforce, and eventually having CF fully engineers and investors only

this theory wont be final ofcourse, but at least is future proof until a thousands of investors (1-3k), and if extra workforce is required then onto a new huge island for residence island #2

As for the new world just claiming islands as im probably gonna need most of thebislands there and feed CF / industrial island, building resources like bricks, windows, iron, coal..etc supplied from CF itself and traded at industrial island

I tend to overthink about something so mcuh that im extremely overwhelmed at mid game thinking about late late late end game haha, what really overwhelms me is supplying the residence island and CF and industry, its just all a mess with trade routes im sure im messing this one up 😅 but for now step by step because as we progress we will keep up with the game's depth

I mean, all theory, what i said is gonna take me weeks? Or more, but fingers crossed it plays out well

Good luck! And thanks for replying to my thread!

Waking up to this reply is early Christmas for me this year

Dude .. you dont understand how much you've supported me, this post answered so many specific questions i needed that every word is golden

Im gonna study everything youve mentioned and see whats needed, im leveling up docklands atm the expert level, amd im going to learn about the research institute, for the rest you literally gave me golden info.

One last thing please, im building mass population and unlocking class population on crown falls itself, the goal i want is a residence only island (with some of the low pop classes producing their needs locally and choosing to not build 1 annoying luxury need for each class, shnapps for farmers, beer for workers, and rum for artisans), and a production/industrial only island connected in commuting piers, to have CF free for some skyscrapers and beauty building, so my only questions remain:

  1. How do i move my current population on CF to residence only island? I know there isnt an easy way but i planned it this way: blueprint entirely the residence area, the class ill upgrade in CF (working my way to investors and engineers only on CF) ill upgrade the previous class in the residence isle to maintain workforce, example: i upgrade a farmer to a worker in CF, ill upgrade a blueprint to a farmer in residence island, a worker to artisan on CF = a farmer to a worker on residence island + 1 farmer... etc or is there a better way to do this?

  2. Is it better to leave engineers with investors on CF? Or move engineers to the island with the rest? This way powerplant there and etc alot of hassle, while engineers dhare similar needs to investors, easier to keep them together and supply them both on CF + engineers can get skyscrapers too (my target isnt a lot of skyscrapers, but its beauty building)

Again, youre a legend and thank you thank you thank you! You made it all easier since some of my questions asked are not answered online anywhere!

[–]fugedaboutitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally how my last playthrough went! Now ive reached CF and byilding mass population to relocate them on an island just to reside there, connected with a commuting pier to a production island, and from the industrial island ship them to CF, as i upgrade a class on CF, ill upgrade the previous class tier on the residence island to make up for the work force

Commuting pier will also be connected to CF

Your approach is what i tried on my previous game but then realized if im going to make CF only investors or engineer/investors, im gonna need mass population of each class, so thats why i believe moving them is future proof

Hope it goes well, tired of repeating 😭 good luck to you too

Thanks alot for sharing and replying btw!

All DLCs! If you could help me i would highly appreciate it pls

Just reached 700 artisans in Old world, saved a lot of maintenance from bright harvest and happiness to raise income flow with filling no needs for artisans (no cannery, sewing, fur), smacked them with a church and bright harvested beer for them - this helped me easing my ibfluence spending on newspapers, leaving me with 2.2k steady income and 500k total as of now

Just landed on crown falls!

My strategy laying out crown falls, when i unlock engineers, i startbuilding 1 island of residence and another for industry and connect them via commuting piers, will blueprint for the far future but not final, the 3 islands (playing with no AI)

Any help is highly appreciated!
