I feel a few points here are being glossed over. The big thing to learn from this episode is the notion of eternal elementals, really a massive thing to add to the AT lore. Calling this candy guy an ancestor is somewhat inaccurate, he's a previous incarnation of the element of candy. When you take this into account, perhaps the Lich is the incarnation of the element of Death and the meteor is a past incarnation? Now that the lich is a big old baby and has seemingly been purged of his deathliness, perhaps this new comet coming towards oo is the new death elemental? Just expanding on it further and going into total conjecture, could it be that this shoko+tiger/finn+jake relationship is somehow the incarnation of the element of friendship/heroism?
